Summary: Staying up all night to watch an important baseball game on your birthday may not be a good idea for a die-hard Mets fan.

Notes: I'm going to have to ask you all to trust me on this one, in spite of the title. Yes there's some baseball stuff in it--after all, I came up with the idea for this fic while listening to the game last night--but really, it's a fic about Viggo, his new puppy Firme, his birthday and his lover. One of the things that I notice rarely gets mentioned in Viggo/Bean fic, or Lotrips in general, is that Viggo is a major sports fan. He fairly avidly supports the Habs (Montreal Canadiens--hockey), San Lorenzo (Club Atlético San Lorenzo de Almagro--football/soccer) and the Mets (New York Mets--baseball), to the point of linking to their sites from Perceval Press. I wanted to play with that side of him, along with the RL facts of the moment: he's got a new puppy, he's in Rome and it's his 48th birthday.

This is for caras_galadon because I was about halfway done with it when I saw her LJ post asking if people were writing "VigBean Dog!Fic."

Another year has passed and Christmas is starting to loom. Thus, slashababy's lotrips fic exchange is starting up again. Do come and join us!

The requirements are the same as previous years. This is a lotrips story exchange. All fics should be at least 1,000 words in length. We're trying to make sure that somebody doesn't write 10 pages of fic to only get a drabble in return.

+ Sign ups are open and will end on 20 October extended until 21 October, midnight, Pacific time.

Chapter 9 Summary: A stressed Orlando deals with his life’s sudden mayhem, including an overbearing medic. Viggo hopes his ugly stunt has the desired effect. This is a “bridge” chapter, not an action packed epic. A necessary evil.
