A/N: The first in this series comes from the Aerosmith song Eat the Rich (complete lyrics behind cut). This is one where I took a couple of lines from the song and completely changed the context. After taking a close look at the lyrics, I realized I just couldn't use the same context. I can't really see either Viggo or Orlando in a Hannibal the Cannibal sort of way, even if the song is meant to be funny.

And, yes, I managed a drabble. 100 words exactly. I'm so proud.

Notes: So, I got it in my head that I wanted to write subtlety for subtlety's sake. Reading between the lines, hidden meanings, tension (tension = drug of choice), things unsaid but there anyway, etc. I dunno if it'll float everyone's boat, but I've got to get it out.
Important: All of the poems in each chapter are by W.B. Yeats, whom I've just recently fallen in love with. Which is weird, because ordinarily I'm not the least bit moved by poetry, and god forbid I should try to write anything so poignant myself. Anyway, I take absolutely no credit at all for them, because I'm not anywhere near qualified to even pretend I came up with something that good.

Congratulations to my dear friends in NZ for having the fastest woman in the world on a bike (that just doesn't sound right...) and to all the fans who're enjoying their atheletes doing their best at the Olympics in Greece. I'll bet I'm not the only one here moving Athens up their list of Places I Have to Go!

My husband has got his ass surgically attached to the couch and when something really exciting starts to happen (other than Water Polo, which is the stupidest thing in the known Universe) he gives out a grunt and I run downstairs to watch.
