Elijah's vision isn't blurring around the edges, his head isn't swimming with confusion. Elijah's reason for unstable hands and fumbled kisses is not intoxication (maybe guilt? maybe nerves?). Elijah is fully aware of the burn spreading from the pit of his stomach to the insides of his thighs. Elijah knows exactly what he is doing and is determined to make the most of it--pushing back to meet every slow thrust. Elijah knows he is a good actor, knows he's carried this charade off well.
Elijah doesn't know that Dom (whose wet lips press against his ear murmuring "love you" as he comes buried deep inside of Elijah) is as good at acting drunk as he is.
