billthepony and i were musing that there's no fps equivalent for fellow_shippers and the_shire. so we made one. this is a lord of the rings slash community. we want announcements, direct posts of new stories, everything. and we want to be as sweeping in our gathering of stories and information as possible, so please spread the word.

Educate me - just how does one go about joining? I get the feeling there's more involved than just adding it to a friends list.

go to the journal, then click the userinfo link, and at the userinfo page, click the 'add friend' thingy.

or you can right click on your livejournal client (well, depending on the client) and choose 'add friend' and type in the name.

--no, wait, that last won't work. but the userinfo page will have the link; it will say, at the top, 'to join this community click here' (or something like that). mental note: don't answer comments at midnight...
