monaboyd,
fellow_shippers and my lj.
Dom stood by the window and looked out at the falling snow. It caught the light from the streetlamps and almost seemed to glow as it drifted down to the ground. Resting his forehead against the cool glass, he remembered another night, one where he wasn’t alone.
They’d been slouched on the sofa in front of the TV watching a film. Billy had chosen it and he’d mercilessly taken the piss all night for its awfulness. Bored with the movie, Dom’s mind had wandered and he found himself looking at Billy. He studied the laughter lines round his green eyes; yes, laughter lines because wherever Billy was, there was always laughter. He studied the sandy hair, the cupid’s bow lips, and wondered what it would be like to run his hands through the hair, to kiss the lips.
He’d been with guys; the thought never occurred to him that Billy might not have. He’d wanted a bit of fun, a distraction. Something to do other than watch this bloody awful film. A buddy fuck. So he’d put his hand on Billy’s shoulder and kissed him on the cheek.
Billy had turned to look at him, surprise written all over his face. Dom got straight to the point, after all this wasn’t some Mills and Boon romance. “Bill, do you like me?”
“Of course I like you, you idiot. Why else would I spend so much time with you?” Billy looked confused.
Dom thought it made him look even cuter and sexier than he did already. He shook his head. “No, do you *like* me?”
“I’m not with you…” Billy frowned, a little crease forming on his forehead. Was Billy playing hard to get? Well, if that was how he wanted it, he was happy to play along.
Perhaps a little demostration was in order. “Do you like me, like this…” He leant in and kissed those gorgeous lips.
Billy’s lips felt warm and dry. Dom had licked his lower lip and instantly Billy had opened himself to him, totally, completely.
It was only later, when he was coming down from a crashing orgasm that he put two and two together and realised that Billy hadn’t had sex with a man before. When they’d been fucking, he’d pushed the thought to the back of his mind, wanting to feel more of Billy, wanting to be inside Billy. And Billy had let him. He’d let him do it all.
He’d collapsed onto Billy and found himself looking into his eyes. The brilliant green showed something Dom hadn’t seen before and he wasn’t enough of a cynic not to recognise love when he saw it. His heart constricted. This wasn’t what he wanted. He wanted fun, no commitments, no strings. He couldn’t deal with anything else.
So, a few awkward, silent minutes later, he’d made light of it, made it clear where he stood. “Bet you never thought we’d do that, did you, Billy?”
Billy’s eyes widened. “No, but…”
“Not one to boast about to the guys, I guess. Too much damage to the reputations. We’d never hear the last of it. Our secret, yeah?”
The look of resignation on Billy’s face as he nodded his agreement tore at Dom’s heart, but he had to do this. He had to. There was no other way.
Forcing a grin, Dom said, “I always wondered what it’d be like with you. And now I know.”
“Yeah,” said Billy.
Dom had felt like the biggest bastard in the world but he told himself it was for the best. He couldn’t cope with relationships, he always screwed up. He would have lost Billy’s friendship and he couldn’t bear that. Billy would get over it.
They’d carried on as normal. Occasionally, Dom had caught Billy looking at him in a way that reminded him of that night, but nothing was ever said.
And sometimes, like tonight, Dom would wonder what might have happened if he hadn’t been so scared of commitment, scared of showing his real self… and scared of loving Billy.

Are you possibly open to a "part 3", a sequel, somewhat?
Yea?
