FIC: Canvas, VM/EW. PG-13. RPS.
Title: Canvas
Author: Aralinde
Email: here
Site: Tooken
Pairing: EW/VM
Rating: PG-13.
Summary: Viggo’s hand on the back of his neck keeps him calm.
Disclaimer: This didn't happen, I don't know these men, it's a work of *fiction*.
Feedback. Oh, no, I don’t want feedback? Me? Want feedback? Why would I want that?
Notes: I love ViggoLijah. There's not much ViggoLijah out there. So I wrote some. Heavy on the angst.
“This is good,” Elijah says. Casual. Offhand.
What he really wants to say is “best thing ever” and “I love this, need this, want this”, but he doesn’t. That would be childish. And he’s no child.
**
Viggo’s hand on the back of his neck keeps him calm. Warm. Safe. And all those other ridiculous things that flash through Elijah’s mind as he smiles and waves at the nameless and faceless.
He wants to go home. He wants to be home, in bed. Feeling Viggo’s fingers trace outlines on his skin—“you’re a canvas for me”—and his mouth, warm and hot and wet, and fingers, deep—
Elijah bites his lip. And closes his eyes.
**
Sometimes when he wakes up, Viggo is already moving. In the kitchen. Or in the shower. It takes no time for Elijah to join him, wherever he is. Viggo doesn’t seem to mind. Fingertips spell out a greeting on his shoulder; thumb brushes across his chin.
Elijah doesn’t shave for days, to feel Viggo’s fingers drag across his face. Absentminded. Slow.
**
“I don’t know.”
“I do.” Viggo’s voice. Calm. As always.
Elijah looks up at him. “How do you know?”
“I just do.”
Elijah doesn’t respond. He just looks out and away.
Puts his hand in Viggo’s. Feels Viggo’s fingers curl around his.
Takes a deep breath.
Lets it go.

Somehow, I circumvented most of the angst when I read this. Sorry. ::grins::
You've done a very nice job of showing, in small glimpses, how Elijah orients around Viggo's touch, uses it to get (and keep) his bearings. With that in mind, the first part might seem out of place, but a deeper reading will show that it isn't. When we learn that Elijah is a canvas for Viggo, know that this is about how Elijah responds to Viggo, and put that together with the title, we can see that the first part isn't Elijah reacting to Viggo's art. He's reacting to the relationship, to its tactile/sexual side. He wants to tell Viggo how great that is, how much he needs it, but he thinks that will make him look childish so he plays it nonchalant. (OK, I allow for a little bit of angst there. ::chuckles::)
I had a look in your LJ and discovered "Hope Springs Eternal". You haven't posted that to
As for the Viggo/Elijah community you mentioned before, it would indeed be a nice
though likely smallthing.no subject
And I'm trying to go in order with my stories and only post one every few days so I don't spam any of the communities with constant posts. I'll probably post HSE today, though :) I'm quite a few stories behind, and that's not even counting the drabbles (which I usually don't post).
Yeah, I don't see a huge crowd of ViggoLijah lovers. We're an odd group.
but I still really want a ViggoLijah group.no subject
And your wish has been granted (http://www.livejournal.com/userinfo.bml?user=viggo_elijah). ::smiles::
