A/N: Yes, it's short, but I needed SOMETHING to get my mind back into this. ^.^;;

The evening was going better than Orlando had hoped. At first Viggo seemed to be avoiding him, not that Orlando blamed him. He HAD said he was afraid of him after all.
But right now they seemed to be past that. They were both sitting on the sofa. Orlando was more or less in Viggo's lap. It had taken Viggo a few minutes to relax enough to wrap is arms around the younger man. They weren't doing anything. The TV was off, no music was playing, nothing. They were just enjoying being with each other.
"Viggo?" Orlando snuggled deeper into the embrace.
"Hm?"
"Does it bother you that I can't remember anything?"
Viggo sighed into the soft curls. "Yes and no."
"Care to elaborate?"
"Well." Viggo ran a hand up and down Orlando's arm. "It upsets me that you don't remember all the fun we used to have. But."
"If I ask you some things, will you tell me the truth?"
"You know I'd never lie to you."
Orlando sat silent for a little while just listening to Viggo's heartbeat. "Before," he began slowly, tring to formulate thoughts. "We were mates, right? Good mates?"
"Yeah, the best. Everyone was jealous of us. Sure everyone was close, but no one was closer than we were."
"Were we... ever closer than just mates?"
Viggo sighed. "Yeah."
Orlando sat up and looked Viggo in the eye. "But when I asked to have things be like they were before, you said you didn't want to. Why is that? Have I changed so much that you don't love me?" His eyes grew wide. "Or did you never love me to begin with?"
Viggo closed his eyes and rested his forehead against Orlando's. "You've got it wrong."
"Do I?" Orlando whispered.
Viggo nodded, his forehead never leaving Orlando's. "I don't want things to be the way they were. Yes, we were together as more than just friends. We-"
"Had sex?"
"But that's all it was!"
"Why?"
"You tell me."
"But-"
Viggo placed a chaste kiss on Orlando's lips to shut him up. "Hear me out, please. As you are now you might not believe what I'm going to say. It's the truth though.
When I said sex was all it was, I was serious. For YOU that's all it was. You just came to me when you wanted, did what you wanted, then left. You never stayed, not once. You were the one who left me.
Since you lost your memory you've completely changed. You're more gentle than you've ever been, and I-" He opened tilted Orlando's face up and refused to let him look away. "I think I love you more like this."
Orlando sucked in his breath. "I left you? Why would I do something as stupid as that? Ever since I saw you after waking up you've been all I've thought about. I don't know what happened to us before, but if it's okay with you I'd like to start over."
Viggo smiled. "Start over from where?"
"How about here?" Orlando leaned forward, closed his eyes, and kissed Viggo, wrapping his arms around his neck.
