PART 3

Dom walked across the room and sat in the chair opposite Elijah and just stared. He wasn’t really looking at anything. And he sure couldn’t look at Elijah without breaking down. It stayed silent. The only sounds that could be heard were the thunder and the rain, and occasionally the dull hum of the air conditioner.

After what seemed like an eternity Elijah spoke.

“Dom.” Elijah sounded like he was crying, but Dom couldn’t tell because of the darkness. Dom kind of liked it that way. This way he wouldn’t have to look into Elijah’s dark pools that were swimming with something he surely did not want to hear.

“Dom, I was wrong.” Elijah stood up and walked towards Dom. Elijah may have been only been 5’6” but his figure loomed over Dom in the darkness like it was about to swallow him whole.

“Elijah don’t do this to me. Don’t come here acting all sweet, and being yourself, and then tell me that we can never be. I just can’t deal with that right now.”

Elijah ignored Dom and kept talking.

“You took me by surprise, I didn’t know how to react. Everything just happened so fast and I didn’t see it coming. I HATE when I can’t see things coming. Dommie, you know that.”

By now Elijah was crying and Dom could tell, but only by the choke that was in his voice.

Dom remained cold. He was still staring at the exact same spot of nowhere he had been staring at for the past however long it had been.

“Dom? Dom are you going to say something?”

Dom hadn’t been listening to anything Elijah had been saying. Elijah could tell and it scared him, Dom always gave Elijah his full attention.

“No. I know that if I start to talk I’ll start to cry. I just can’t cry in front of you Elijah. I don’t want you feeling sorry for me.”

Dom stood up and walked towards the door.

“I think you need to go, I need to be by myself.”

Elijah walked towards the door and stood in front of Dom, Dom turned away.

As soon as Elijah was outside the door he fell to the ground. He looked up towards Dom’s window. The storm was beginning to clear and he could see Dom looking out towards the ocean. He wasn’t looking at Elijah.

“I love you Dom. I just don’t know how to tell you.”

I love your writings. So proud to get to write something with you.

Angsty = lovely. Hoping there's a good ending...

I really like the way you describe things...It gives you a scenario... you know? (Ugh, someone *points at myself* is NOT good at explaining things.. =P)
