New RPG: Bordertown
The Bordertown RPG is a new game played on Journalfen that is looking for players. This game is heavily inspired by the Borderland and Bordertown books by Terri Windling. However, you do not need to be a fan of the books to join this RPG.
-------
In 2046, the human world as we know it is ruled by science and technology. Yet humans are not aware of another world that exists on the other end of the spectrum, called the Realm Of Faerie. This magical world is entirely different from the human world, populated by sleek, graceful Elves.
Yet, in the middle of these two worlds lies Borderland, the place where the human world and the world of Elves meet. A place where science and technology works, sometimes. And also where magic works sometimes, too. In short, nothing is predictable.
The majority of the population, who live in its largest city Bordertown, consist of three races: humans, Elves and halfies. The humans are made up of disillusioned artists, runaway teens and random travellers who have heard about Bordertown and want to try and visit the Realm. However, the Elves who live in Bordertown are of an entirely different species. They are rock-and-roll enthusiasts, motorcycling rebels who are curious about humans yet observe them with a detached sense of contempt. Being unable to get along with their fellow Elves in the Realm, they find Bordertown a welcome escape for them to experience human delights like rock-and-roll music.
And of course, right in the middle you have the third race, Halfies, who are half-human and half-Elf. They are not really sure which world they belong to, and as a result they inhabit Bordertown more out of necessity than choice. They can travel from the human world through Bordertown to the Realm with ease, unlike humans who are prevented from visiting the Realm by the Border.

If you would like to apply, kindly visit the Bordertown userinfo page and read through the rules and regulations before sending an email to lotr_bordertown@yahoo.com.
TAKEN CHARACTERS:
Viggo Mortensen
Sean Bean
Liv Tyler
Sean Astin
Available characters are any actor/actress from the LOTR cast not listed above. At the moment we are not accepting anyone outside the LOTR cast, but this might change in the future. Original characters will also not be considered at the moment.
Since the game will be played out in Journalfen, do not worry as the mods will be giving out codes to prospective players. However, we hope that you are sincere in playing as the codes cost money and we would like very dedicated players who will not leave the game halfway.
Thanks for reading!
