Ian clutched his sides with laughter staring at the Scots’ indignant expression. Billy threw the bottles in Ians’ general direction and slammed the bathroom door in a grandiose manner. Ian laughed even harder as he heard the bathroom door locked and Billy shout in an extremely thick Scottish accent that he hated him and never wanted to see him again. Ian sat down on the bed laughing. “You’re really touchy for a closet fag Billy.”

“Fuck you Ian!”

“I’d love you to Billy, but you’re just being so touchy about it. Just like a closet queen.”

“Just because I have scented bathroom items doesn’t mean I’m gay.”

Ian laughed harder. “If you don’t hurry up you’ll make us late.”

“Fuck you, I’m not going with you.”

“Oh come on! I was just teasing you Bills.”

“Don’t call me that Ian.”

“Oh Billy, you really should lighten up a bit.”

“We’re going separately.”

“Why? Because you don’t like being teased?”

Billy huffed loud enough for Ian to hear it, only sending Ian into a new fit of giggles. “Oh Billy, come on. We’re going to be late.”

“I’m not gay Ian. I have a girlfriend.”

Ian rolled his eyes. “Fine I’m going without you, you whiny twit. And if you’re not gay, neither am I.”

“Oh bloody hell!”

Billy flung open the bathroom door and glared at Ian. “What do you want from me?”

“For you to stop lying to yourself.”

“I’m not lying to myself.”

“Fine, stop lying to me.”

“I’m not lying to you!”

Ian stared at Billy. “Fine. Let’s go, my boy.”

Billy’s green eyes almost watered up and he looked away from Ian. Ian looked at Billy from the bed. “Come here, Bills.”

Billy stepped closer, still refusing to look at Ian. Ians’ hand fell to rest on Billys’ hip and he felt him twitch. “What’s wrong, boy?”

Billy shook his head, the tears filling his eyes more, the water threatening to spill out. “I…”

Ian watched him closely. “You’re afraid?”

Billy nodded helplessly before flinging himself onto Ian, wrapping his arms around his neck and crawling into his lap a knee on either side of him. Ian smiled slightly, pulling Billy close. Ian started to rub Billys’ back and kissed his cheek. “What are you afraid of?”

“Rejection…”

Billy’s face pushed into the crook of Ians’ neck and sobbed. Ians’ hand moved from Billys’ back to his hair and he stroked it, the other arm locked around his waist. “Rejection? From Dominic? He’d never reject you Bills, he’d kill himself if you told him to do it.”

Billy whispered softly. “Not Dom…Or Elijah or Sean or Viggo.”

“Orlando? Because he’s…”

“Not him either, Ian.”

“Than who?”

Billy sighed into Ians’ neck. “I’m a closet fag and you’re bloody daft.”

Billy started to crawl out of Ians’ lap frustrated. Ian grabbed Billy trying to keep him from crawling away from him. “What are you talking about?”

Billy wiped his eyes and leaned in, timidly pressing his lips against Ians’. Ians’ eyes shot open in surprise and when he realized what was going on and who was kissing him he gripped the back of Billys’ neck and kissed back, opening his mouth and silently begging entrance into Billys’ mouth. Billy opened his mouth, becoming bolder by the second, and pressed his body snuggly against Ians’. Ian searched Billys’ mouth and clinging to him.

When their mouths’ finally parted, Billy stared at Ian and smiled. Ian kissed Billy’s forehead and smiled. “You’re right…I am daft.”

Billy smiled bigger. “No rejection?”

“No rejection…”

Billy kissed Ian again. “I don’t want to go out.”

“Good. Neither do I.”

Wow..didn't take long for Beizy's journal to inspire Ian!fic. Huzzah!!

This is hilarious: Billy sighed into Ians’ neck. “I’m a closet fag and you’re bloody daft.”

This was so sweet. As for Pippin and Gandalf in Minas Tirith-- that has to be one of my favorite film scenes ever. Pippin/Billy is so obviously scared/making himself feel scared, and the great deal of love that Gandalf has for him, taking time even then to reassure him, is more evident than any I've ever seen on screen. In the cast commentary on Fellowship, Sir Ian says (of the hobbits, when they're hugging at the Last Homely House) that you "can't fake friendship like that." I would say the same thing about Sir Ian's capacity for love, though I well know it could simply be that he is a phenomenal actor.
