Various wooden utensils clattered noisily to the tiled floor as Karl swept everything from the faux marble worktop and clumsily tried to hoist David up by the thighs. He grabbed the redhead by the temples and captured his lips with his own.
A hinge squeaked.
They froze.
A string of saliva snapped as they pulled their mouths apart. David craned his neck and gaped over the brunette's shoulder and found Viggo leaning against the doorframe.
"Well, I know you said you were going for something to eat, Karl, but..." he drawled mock sternly, pulling his tshirt off over his head.

I like how your description of the scene itself seems to.. hmmm.. how to say this... circumvent the need to actually describe the emotions and sensations themselves.
..I also really, reallyreallyreally want to read The Rest, lol! There should definitely be more. Dave/Karl/Viggo = happy!fangirl.
