I have a hard time with prompt words, but since pictures often inspire me, I thought I'd see what images came up when I searched for each of the words. Then I was hit by a big wave of nostalgia after the lovely VigBean reunion at the Empire Awards and with the tenth anniversary of filming coming up later this year. So I started to see what images I could find in or about New Zealand related to each of the prompts. And so this series was born.
This is a series of vignettes, small moments of time during a long road trip taken to celebrate both of their birthdays and their tenth anniversary. They're not in any chronological or geographical order; there will be times when the geography is all fucked up but the story is pure fantasy and so is my New Zealand.
There is no plot or conflict or point other than two incredible men who are deeply in love taking a break from the craziness of their lives to be with each other in the country where it all began.
To read them in the order posted, view them by tags and go back about two pages and begin with Sheep. Or you can go to my first "announcement" post and use the links in the prompt table. While the ficlets can be read in any order, there is one very important caveat. The 'Daddy' prompt should be read last; it is the end of the journey and will work better being read at the end.
Big thanks to
