Title: A Lost Boy

Pairing: Liam Neeson/Orlando Bloom, minor Liam/Johnny Depp, plus a few other pair-ups among the supporting characters. Orlando/Johnny in this chapter.
Rating: NC-17 overall
Warning: In the first chunk of this, Orlando's seventeen and is just wrapping up having sex with Johnny as part of his training. The explicit sex is only in the first paragraph, though; after that it's just cleaning up and then plot-related conversation. If you're not into seventeen-year-olds orgasming, skip the first paragraph. :)
Summary: Slave Orlando's been taken and the kidnappers aren't interested in ransom. And of course Master Liam's thundering rage is only at the personal insult, that someone would disrespect him by daring to touch his property.

And of course Master Liam's thundering rage is only at the personal insult, that someone would disrespect him by daring to touch his property.

I hope I'm reading too much into that summary. Orlando seems to care so much for his master - I hope Liam feels the same! If he is only concerned because some one took his shit and not concerned for Orlando or missing him... *raises fist in the air*

The summary, at least the second sentence, is meant to be rather tongue-in-cheek. :D Liam's taken up pretty much permanent residence on a river in Egypt, so far as Orlando is concerned.

The thing to keep in mind is that in this 'verse, it's uncool, undignified and pretty darned pathetic for a master to fancy himself "in love" with a slave. It's just not done. It's like those people who treat their dogs or cats like they were children -- real, human children, no really they're my children, just as much as your human kids are your children and I'm going to be grossly offended if you don't treat my fur-children exactly like you would treat my human children if I had any! You know, that sort...? There are people like that, of course, just as there are masters in the "Kept Boy" universe who do fall in love with their slaves. But both groups are thought to be about equally weird by most other folks, and are held in active contempt by some.

Liam is old money, old family, with a high social position pretty much since they got off the boat however many generations back, and has been raised to place an extremely high value on his dignity and on being respected, and being worthy of respect by others. You and I know that he loves Orlando to pieces, but Liam would never admit it, not even to himself and certainly not to anyone else. We'll have to see whether that changes in any way as the story goes on. :)
