Nominations still open for the MOME FPS and Classic Fiction Awards
Posted with kind permission of the mods.
I'm pleased to announce that nominations are still open for the FPS and Classic Fiction categories of the Men of Middle Earth Awards, celebrating the extensive variety of pairings in the LOTR slash fandom.
Eligible FPS fics include not only Tolkien characters but also other roles the actors have played (Richard Sharpe, Frank Hopkins, Casey Connor, Barrett Bonden, Charlie Pace, Will Turner, etc.). All crossovers are eligible; as long as part of the pairing is a Tolkien character (including the Hobbit and the Silmarillion) or a character one of the actors played in another film, the fic is eligible for nomination. The Classics category encompasses both RPS and FPS.
Awards will be presented based on story length and pairing; winners will be announced at the end of January. Specific guidelines and eligibility requirements can be found here (for FPS) and here (for Classic Fiction).
Nominations close December 12 and you don't have to be a member of the community to nominate. The RPS round was a lot of fun so come join us in recognizing the wide range of LOTR slash pairings!
