My reason for writing this tiny piece of nonsense is actually kind of strange: I wanted to write a fic using all the different combinations of verbs: main (sings), modal (may sing), perfect (has sung), and progressive (is singing). I think I managed it. (Now let them say these structures appear vanishingly in the English language.)
Billy sings: he may sing at any point in the day
