A Spirit of Vengeance
Title: A Spirit of Vengeance
Author: AngiePen
Pairing: Orlando/Viggo
Rating: R
Request: Orlando/(author's choice of Craig, Elijah, Billy, Viggo, or Karl) Orlando's partner is brutally raped & murdered. Orlando goes after the rapists/murderers, and with the help of his partner's ghost, finally is successful in killing them all. The possibility is there for Orlando to also be mortally wounded in the final confrontation with the bad guys, or his lover's ghost could protect him from harm, this is totally up to the author. Also, the identity of the bad guys is up to the author. My suggestions would be Sean B., Eric, Marton, Clive Owen, and/or Colin Farrell, but these are only suggestions. Requested by
namarielorien
Summary: AU. Viggo has been raped and murdered by gay-bashers who broke into the house while Orlando was out of town. Now Orlando's back, trying to deal with his lover being suddenly gone from his life. But he's not completely gone -- Viggo's ghost is still hanging around. There's more to what happened than Orlando was told, and Viggo wants revenge.
Warnings: Character death, duh. :) Gotta get a ghost from somewhere, right? Also violence, etc. -- read the request.
Disclaimer: I don't own anyone you recognize. I know nothing about their social lives or sexual activities, more's the pity. This is fiction, period. It is done as a labor of love and I make no money from it.
Notes: Written for the third round of the
lotr_fqf, August 2006.
Orlando wasn't even the one who found the body. Everyone said what a blessing that was, that he didn't have that memory, that he didn't have to live with the sight of his lover's dead body.
Where? On the bed? On the floor? On the counter? Across the table or the back of the couch? Had they stripped him naked or yanked his trousers off or just slashed an opening across his arse? Had they beaten him up before they killed him? Cut him up for fun? Had they played with him? Made him beg for his life?
"Everyone" was wrong and he couldn't stand to listen to it anymore. The sympathy, the "There there," the "At least you didn't have to..." that he'd heard so often he was ready to scream or cry or break something. If he'd been there then he'd know. If he'd found the body then at least he'd have one image in his head, one, and he wouldn't have to live with the wondering and imagining and the multiple nightmares of what might've happened. If he'd been home then maybe it wouldn't have happened at all, if there'd been two of them in the house instead of just one.
