fandom_mashup reminder

Just a reminder that 11.59pm Pacific time on May 31st (just about 24 hours from now) is the deadline for fandom_mashup signups.

In case you missed it before, this is a multi-fandom (both FPF and RPF) remix-type challenge, open to anyone who has a minimum of ten fics to their name (half of which must be more than 100 words). You get two months to write and there is no minimum word count.

We'd love to get more LotRiPs authors participating, so please take a look at the comm if you think you might be interested. More info and the signup page can be found here.

i am actually quite interested in this. i think it is a fantastic idea. i am intimidated, though. i am not at the same level of writing as some of the participants. i would not even be stepping forward if not for the lack of lotr representives!

i've put together some links for you to browse through (since, i'll need to link to stuff anyway if i do join in). let me know if you think it will be alright for me to play too. i really don't want to embarrass myself! or ruin it for people. seriously! i don't want to be the one person playing tennis who can't return the ball, so to speak.

Well now that I've recovered from reading the Zeke/Casey w/ crossdressing, I'd say you have nothing to worry about at all. Seriously, I think anyone would be happy to be assigned your fic for their mashup.

And really, the Zeke/Casey? OMG so freakin' hot and I really love the way they both read as very real in that teenaged, dorky way. The bit about Casey worrying that Zeke would never talk to him again was perfect.

Please don't be intimidated! I don't know most of the participants and haven't read their writing, but I'm sure there's a range. Besides, if you feel your writing isn't as good as others', just think of this as another opportunity to get some practice and improve. :)
