PAIRING: Viggo/Sean Bean
NOTES: PG. Not real. Not claiming it is.
Seeing the familiar set of keys on the table brought a smile to Viggo, just as the extra car in the driveway had done. Turning the keys over in his hands, one keyring in particular caught his attention; not because it was larger than the rest, brighter or more colourful, but because he knew it well. Between the scratches and scrapes on the plastic cover could be seen snow-capped mountains overlooking a great expanse of lake. Attached to it was the key to this house, Viggo's home.
Rarely giving keys to anyone, he felt it was too much like giving someone a key to your life. He could count on one hand the number of copies of this key and who they belonged to.
Although they seemed to drift in and out of each other's lives at random, but somehow appropriate, intervals, it was with ease that he had given Sean a key, only weeks after leaving the set. Sean had laughed at the keyring initially. "What's this for?" Locked in a knowing gaze, Viggo had simply replied, "So you'll always have New Zealand."
Not once had he regretted his decision, for this wandering soul would always be welcome.

I like this idea--how it connects their relationship and the place where they spent time together, and then connects it again to a new place, Viggo's home. Like it very much :)
