Fic: In The End by

TITLE: In The End
AUTHOR:
m_l_h
PAIRING: Elijah/Dominic
NOTES: PG. Not real. Not claiming it is.
Celebration, consolation, comfort; all of these, and more, were mere excuses for 'one last time' together. The same words, "it's just tonight" or "it's just a bit of fun", uttered every time and each time they were as meaningless as the last. As sure as the sun would set, Elijah and Dominic would be together, limbs tangled together amongst sheets, fingers exploring in just the right places, lips reclaiming familiar skin.
What had started with a drunken kiss had quickly led to much more; it had all been destroyed soon after by a cruel, idealistic and narrow-minded world, torn apart b y money-hungry monsters with stars in their eyes. Forced into the spotlights in the arms of others, flung thousands of miles apart, the true and original essence of their relationship had been tarnished. Their need for each other, however, could not be broken so easily; times spent alone together came few and far between, but with no less passion or desire. Neither believed there really would a be a 'last time' for them. Until now.
Huddled together against the morning breeze creeping in through the open window, Elijah could feel the frantic rhythm of Dominic's heart beating against his cheek. Fighting back tears, Elijah knew that when Dominic had said this would be the last time, he meant it. lj-cut>

I love the rhythm of your words! Specially this sentence: "it had all been destroyed soon after by a cruel, idealistic and narrow-minded world, torn apart b y money-hungry monsters with stars in their eyes". It's incredibly powerful!

I'm sorry, I was just in one of those moods
*more hugs*
And thank you, I have to admit that was one of my favourite bits too.
