RPG game recruiting request

So, anyone interested in an RPS RP game? It would be mostly played through IM, with the chats formatted and posted in a community, though depending on peoples' availability tigs could be done within the community as well.

The basis is an AU, set during filming of Rings, with characters being either human or in some way fantasy creatures that can look human through shapeshifting or a glamour.

We've got a Billy and an Elijah so far--Billy is human played by [livejournal.com profile] magickalmolly and Elijah is a cat-centaur played by me--and while they've slept together, we're planning plenty of bed-hopping and lack of monogamy. No committed relationships are starting out in it, though if they do develop, that's all right too. Oh, and Dom and Orli spent the night together shagging each other senseless, as well.

If there's any interest, comment and let me know who you'd want to play and what kind of mythical creature you'd like them to be, if any. If we get another couple people, we'll go for it.

ETA: [livejournal.com profile] lotr_fantasy set up!

Hmmmm, that sounds kind of amusing. Have you got a Viggo? I see him as sort of a spirit of the earth... perhaps a coyote?

Let me know if you get them!

I'd love to take a stab at playing Orli... Maybe as an old-school Fairy? (I'm thinking Sidhe)

Orlando had always known that he was different. When he was four and his father died he cried, but he wasn't really sad. He'd always been so busy, and Orlando had never had time to get to know him, in the short periods when he was home. He was just as surprised when his mother admitted to him a few years later, just as he was beginning to come into his height and his almost otherworldly good looks, that his real father was Colin Stone, the man he'd grown up knowing as Uncle, his best grown up friend. He'd blushed and stammered and hugged his mum, spinning out tales about how they'd all be a family and eat breakfast together around the kitchen table, things he'd always read about but never remembered actually doing, a family all together, but nothing really changed.

At then, when he was thirteen, everything changed. One day he was Orlando, with the Shakespearean name and the strange mum, who entered festivals and won trinkets for reciting poetry, and the next he was different, and he didn't know what had changed. His mirror said that he'd gone all pointy, his dark eyes slanted and his ears sticking through the dark mop of his hair in sharp points, but no one else could see anything different, even when he twirled his hands and bright sparks followed the blur of his fingers. He eventually found out what had happened - what he was, and why he'd never felt as close to his fathers has he should have - after long, laborious trips to the library, braving the books that seemed to move as he read them, white spaces dripping through the words with no care for whether or not he was trying to read them.

When he found the answer, he laughed. Changeling. Other-kin. Fairy. Left behind when his real family had snatched a human baby back to the world Under Hill, a baby who would never find out that his father wasn't who he seemed to be, would never know the bright tinkle of his sister Samantha's laughter or the rumbly baritone of Uncle Colin reading in the evenings. But it all made sense, the more he thought about it, and by the time he was sixteen, he knew what he would do.

If he was a creature of myth, which it definitely seemed he was, for all that he'd never quite gotten the hang of making others see it too, he would make his living playing make believe, convincing people to see, if only for a little bit, a short span of moments, strung together like pearls on a chain, something that wasn't there, that lived only in their imaginations. It was almost as good as someone being able to see him for what he really was, and that was good enough for him.

I'd still like to be involved with the game if I don't get Orli, but I've pretty much got my heart set on playing him... He's my golden boy. :)

*uses her happy Lij icon*

I'll definitely get on that tomorrow... I'm about falling down tired right now, but I can honestly say that I'm thrilled! Hopefully Lij will be pleased to find that he's got a bit of an admirer.

An admirer? The Elf?

Dude...I could go for that. Drop me an IM at FelineFrodo and we'll talk, yeah?

Hiya. I'm playing Dom in [livejournal.com profile] lotr_fantasy. I rather liked what you've written here, and since Dom and Orli seem to have an established "mates with benefits" sort of thing going, I thought maybe you'd like to do an audition play with me sometime this week, to see how things work out between us, play-wise.

If so, ping me on AIM on Immortal Dominic. I'll have him logged in even if I'm away - just leave me a note :)

I'd love to jump in - not sure where... perhaps Sean Bean? Just not sure what kind of mythical... perhaps a wizard of some sort? Help me out - I want to play! LOL
