Excising some demons. This was horrible in its stark look at the reality of insanity. How easy it is to excuse the use of torture. Isn't someone else's suffering always deserved and ours not. So sad, Elijah's life, abused by father and artist, because he happens to suffer so beautifully, is that what happened to Frodo. I wonder about Tolkiens motives in showing so much suffering aimed at the most innocent of creatures in Middle Earth. Thank you.
