~~~~~
The sun was burning down mercilessly on the three travelers. Miranda turned around on her seat on the carriage to look back at Nakhti lying on the bench, his head in the Princess' lap. His head was covered with sweat, but he was shivering as if he was cold. Even though she had changed the dressing just a few hours ago, during a hasted halt, it was already soaked with his blood again. Although most his wounds had healed well, there was one particularly deep cut on Nakhti's shoulder that would not mend.
Miranda caught Liv's worried look and forced herself to an encouraging smile, only half succeeding. She too was worried, scared for the life of their friend and prayed to the Deities to spare the guard's life. Please spare him... He has proven himself more than worthy of your mercy, please! Take me in his stead if you want to call anyone to you, but not Nakhti!
She had steered the carriage across a shallow spot of the river that they were following north to the other bank, knowing that the paths on this side of the stream were not as occupied as on the other; with Nakhti injured as badly as he was, Miranda figured it was safer to stay out of the way of other travelers, and luckily, they met no one. Suddenly the carriage jumped over a large rock that had been hidden in the sand, making Nakhti groan in pain, and Miranda urged the horses on to go faster, though still slow enough to be able to steer the carriage safely and relatively gently.
At last, after almost two more hours of their hurried travel, Miranda spotted a small oasis about two miles or so off the normal traveling tracks. She remembered the oasis from her days of travel with various slave traders, recalling that it was rarely visited because of its remote position. Miranda steered the horses into that direction and urged them on again, and fifteen minutes later, they finally arrived at the oasis. Miranda slowed down the horses again and looked around the place, searching for the right spot for their camp.
The oasis appeared to not have offered shelter to any visitors lately, for the trees were full with fruit. The thing that caught Miranda's eye though, was a small pond, and it was full of fish. Miranda's heart skipped a beat at the sight. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! Miranda intoned silently and stopped the carriage in the shadow of a few trees.
Jumping off the driver's seat, she immediately set to putting up the tents. "Liv, would you please go and see if you can find some wood?" she asked the Princess, "And then heat up some water to clean Nakhti's wound?"
Liv rose and placed a folded blanket under Nakhti's head. "I will return shortly my love," she replied glancing to Miranda before getting down and taking an axe from the carriage. She made her way through the small grove of trees and began cutting smaller limbs from some of them, trying to get the dryer ones knowing they would burn better.
After several minutes Liv had returned and built the fire as Miranda continued her work with the tents. She was heating the water when she heard Nakhti stirring slightly in the carriage.
Raising his head Nakhti looked around. "Where are we?" he asked in a tired, weak voice. He let out a groan as he tried to rise farther into a sitting position.
The tents were set up quickly as Miranda had had time to practice for the past few days already and so she set out once she was done and collected some fruit while Liv was fussing with the cauldron. Returning to their little camp with an armful of fresh fruit, Miranda sat down beside Liv and ripped more stripes off the old gown that they were using for the dressing of Nakhti's wounds.
When the guard stirred, she gave Liv a quick glance and rose to her feet. Walking quickly over to the carriage, she found Nakhti attempting to rise. "We are at a small oasis, Nakhti," she said softly and gently forced him to lie down again. "It is off the tracks, we are safe here. Let Liv and I tend to everything while you rest. You need it," she added gently stroking a hand over his hair.
Reluctantly Nakhti lay back and looked up at Miranda as she stroked his hair. He wanted to get up and help, but he knew he had not the strength to do so. "Thank you," he said at last just before he went into a coughing spell. His body trembled slightly; he felt very cold but didn't want to say anything for he knew the women would worry.
Liv poured warm water into a bowl and took it to Miranda. "Here my love," she said, handing the bowl to her. "You will be alright Nakhti," Liv said smiling to him and squeezing his hand. She hoped the smile would hide the concern she felt inside for his health.
Miranda squeezed Liv's hand tight as she was handed the water and immediately took up her task of undressing the wound at Nakhti's shoulder and carefully washing it out. Out of the corner of her eye, she could see Liv grabbing Nakhti's hand and holding it as the treatment, no matter how careful Miranda was, gave the guard pain; it made her feel even more guilty. "I am so sorry," she murmured, not realizing she was speaking out loud what she was thinking, "Please do not hate me for putting you in such pain."
Carefully Miranda rinsed the small rag and finished cleaning the wound but refrained from dressing it again, deciding that maybe the air would finally help seal the wound. Putting aside the small bowl, she carefully helped Nakhti sit.
"Let's get you out of the carriage and over to the tents," she said softly, "You will be more comfortable there than in the carriage. Liv, help me, please?"
As the two women started helping him to a sitting position Nakhti paused and took both of Miranda's hands in his. "Hate you. How could I ever hate you my sweet girl," he said as he smiled and reached up to brush some stray blonde hair from her face.
Liv could not help but smile at the tenderness the guard was showing to her love and she could see a small blush creeping over Miranda's face from the attention as well. She was so glad Nakhti felt that way for Miranda; it made things easier for Liv too, knowing that the two people who were most important to her were getting along so great. Of course, she knew of what had happened in her father's chambers that terrible night that seemed to be so far away by now; even though Nakhti had tried to back out of it, Liv had made him tell her what he knew while they had prepared their flight and packed. Miranda's soft voice brought Liv back into the present again, and together with her love she helped Nakhti step out of the carriage.
Miranda blushed at Nakhti's words, realizing she'd spoken her thoughts out loud. She placed her hand over Nakhti's and smiled shyly. "I know you don't hate me, I just..." She trailed off and shook her head not really knowing herself why she'd thought that in the first place either. "Come on, my friend."
Together with Liv, she led the big man over to the tents and made him lie down in the larger one on a soft bedstead she had prepared inside. "I will not dress your wound again," Miranda explained as she brushed an errand strand of dark hair from his forehead, "The air should do you good and help the wound to close soon; but you need to stay in here and rest. Liv and I will not be too far away, so if you need anything, just call, but do *not* get up," she said with emphasis and leant forward to kiss Nakhti's forehead, then she left the tent and waited for Liv to emerge too.
Once her love joined her in the open again, Miranda pulled her close and kissed her softly. "We should stay here for a few days," she said softly, "As I said to Nakhti just now, it is off the tracks, so we should be relatively safe. And Nakhti needs the rest without the bumping of the carriage for a few days, or his shoulder will never heal. This place is ideal." She pointed over to the small pond. "It is full of fish, so we can stock up on something else than just dry bread and dried alligator meat. Nakhti needs a healthier diet, so we should use our stay here to stock up on as much food as possible. I will put up some bird traps too," Miranda added as she walked over to the carriage and looked through their luggage for anything she might use to fish with.
To her surprise and delight, she found that Nakhti had packed quite a large amount of rope. With a happy smile, she took the rope and returned to the fire. "I can make a small fishing net out of some of this rope," she explained to Liv, "So we can catch some fish."
"Oh fishing! That sounds nice," Liv said with a big smile as she watched Miranda working with the rope for a minute before chiming in again. "My love... um... how do you fish?" she asked, a little ashamed that she knew nothing of fishing. She had led a very protected and sheltered life within the walls of the Temple. There were some things she could do like use a sword, although her father knew nothing of her knowledge of swordplay, it had been Nakhti who had trained her in private without anyone knowing.
Inside the tent Nakhti was restless. He felt bad that he was being a burden to the women. Here he was trying to help them escape the torment of the Princess' father and was trying to protect them, now with his injured shoulder he felt totally useless. It was him they would have to protect and take care of until he healed. He had resided to that fact only moments ago when he gave Liv his sword, deciding it might be of better use with the women. He was sure that Liv would keep it close by in case it was needed. After tossing and turning for some time Nakhti finally got comfortable and closed his eyes, drifting off to sleep listening to the women talking outside.
Miranda looked up from her work and smiled. "I will be happy to show you, my love," she replied and cut a generous amount of rope for the half-finished net, "Let me start by showing you how to make a net. If you want to help me, we better have two." She patiently showed Liv how to tie the knots for the net, feeling somewhat proud at how quickly her love was learning.
Not much later, both nets were done, and Miranda got up again and also helped Liv to stand. "Come on, let's catch some fish," she said and planted a soft kiss on her lips, then picked up the nets and grabbed the Princess' hand to pull her over to the pond. "It is not hard," Miranda said, "My father showed me a few useful tricks when I was a child. I helped him a lot when I was still living with them," she added without any feeling of bitterness as it usually accompanied all her thoughts of her home though; with Liv at her side, any place in the world was just as good as her old home.
She led Liv to the very brink of the pond and stepped behind her, wrapping her arms around her and reaching for her hands. "Spread the net like this," Miranda whispered into Liv's ear, struggling to ignore the desire that immediately woke inside her at being so close to her love, though she could not help to teasingly nuzzle the Princess' nape, "and now throw it flat onto the water. Don't worry if it won't work the first time."
Liv spread her arms stretching the net wide. She wasn't sure if she was doing this right and was finding it rather difficult to concentrate on what she was doing because Miranda's nuzzling was distracting her somewhat. She was also fighting hard to resist the urge to drop the net and take her love in her arms.
"Is this correct?" she finally asked, still having no idea of what she was doing.
Miranda nodded and nibbled lightly at her love's nape, but then she forced herself not to go any further with her teasing. "Yes, you are doing well. Now you wrap that rope around your wrist so you can pull the net back onto land and then throw it onto the water, here, let me show you." She reluctantly let go of Liv and took the second net, spreading it like the Princess was holding hers already. Wrapping the end of her security rope around her wrist, Miranda securely tossed the net out onto the water; it landed perfectly flat on the surface. She had tied little stones and other anchors into one side of the net, so it immediately sank to the bottom. Miranda smiled at Liv. "You want to try now?" she asked and leant over to steal a small kiss from the Princess.
Fighting off the shiver that had just ran through her, Liv did as Miranda did. Wrapping the rope around her wrist she pulled the net back to her and tossed it back into the water. She watched it sank and smiled. "I think I'm getting the hang of this. It doesn't seem too difficult," she said looking over at Miranda.
She was taking in the sight of Miranda; the wind blowing her love's gown against her body revealing her curves, her golden hair waving in the breeze. She was biting her bottom lip and fighting off the urge to go to Miranda and make sweet passionate love to her when the tug came unexpectedly on her net. Squealing at the sudden tug she lost her balance and fell face first into the water. She came up seconds later sputtering and spitting water, her long dark hair sticking to her face and her gown clinging tightly to her soaked body.
Miranda smiled proudly when she saw that Liv was doing well and gently pulled at the rope of her own net, slowly pulling it back towards the shore, always paying notice on the tugging on the rope. "When you feel a tug at your rope, don't be scared, it tells you that fish are caught in your net," she was just saying when suddenly Liv squealed and fell into the water. "Liv!" Miranda called out and quickly wrapped the rope of her net around the trunk of a tree, then she rushed into the water where Liv was already surfacing again.
At the sight of her drained but otherwise obviously unharmed love, Miranda's fear was gone immediately; even more so, Liv looking all drained and with the hair sticking to her face was such a funny thing to see that Miranda burst into laughter. "Oh my love," she gasped, "I am sorry, I didn't mean to laugh, but..." She giggled and stepped forward to help Liv up. The ground of the pond was muddy, and so her foot found an especially slippery spot; with a squeal Miranda lost her balance and landed right next to Liv in the water, sputtering and looking just as drained as her love, though in addition her face shone in the brightest possible red.
Liv erupted in a fit of laughter as she looked at Miranda next to her in the water. Her beautiful golden hair plastered to her face as well. Moving to her Liv wrapped her arms around Miranda. "We're all wet," she said, still giggling. "Come on, let's try this again," she added as she reached under the water looking for her net. Once she found it she took Miranda's hand in hers and headed for the bank.
Tossing the net to the ground Liv took her wet garment in her hands and pulled it over her head tossing it to the ground. "It will be easier to fish without that wet gown sticking to you," she said looking at Miranda. "Well come on," she added as the woman hesitated, "Oh, you're not worried about Nakhti seeing you naked are you?" she asked as she picked up her net. "Is there anything else I need to know?" she continued, a small grin on her face, as she walked back to the waters edge where she wrapped the rope around her wrist and tossed the net back in the water.
Miranda could not help but laugh with her love as they both sat in the shallow water, wet from head to toe. She gave her love's hand a gentle squeeze and followed her back to the bank. As Liv took off her dress, Miranda blushed; partly out of embarrassment, partly, because seeing her love's gorgeous body thus, in the bright light of day, was a sight she'd never seen before. Back at the Temple, they had had to hide in the dark of night, under the blanket of the Princess' bed, or in the water of the bath.
"No, it is not Nakhti," Miranda said, her voice sounding somehow hoarse and she cleared her throat, blushing even more when Liv looked at her, "It's just... I have never seen your body in daylight before," Miranda admitted honestly, "You are so beautiful, so gorgeous... I think I am falling in love with you even more right now." She slowly reached for the seam of her own gown and pulled it over her head. Standing naked before her love made her even more conscious of her lust and desire; it took her everything not to use the fishing net she was picking up for something that had as little to do with fishing as a rock with flying.
At last Miranda stood beside Liv again, as close as she could consciously allow herself to without having to fear that she might forget about their task of catching fish. "Once the net is in the water, you slowly pull it back towards the bank again," she explained, "Don't be startled by the tugging, keep on pulling it in, just like this."
Liv was a quick learner, and so they soon had caught a rather large amount of fish, some of which Miranda was intending on drying, others on grilling over the fire, and another part was to be cooked as soup. She showed Liv how to clean the fish; they put aside the livers for Miranda to cook a salve out of it later, and the other intestines of the fish, Miranda threw into the fire for a small sacrifice to the Deities. That done and with the fish stew simmering away above the fire, Miranda leant against a trunk by the fire and spread her legs, patting the sand between them. "Come sit with me, my love," she said in an almost purring tone.
Liv looked over to Miranda and nibbled at her bottom lip as she slid from the rock she was sitting on and crawled over to her love. She came to a stop between Miranda's legs, sitting on her knees facing her. "You are so beautiful," Liv whispered as she reached out and ran her hand between Miranda's breasts, up her neck and cupped her cheek.
Her breathing quickened as Miranda watched Liv in almost cat-like movements crawl over to her; the closer her love came to her, the warmer she felt inside, until the desire to make love with Liv here and now was almost burning her. With eyes wide open she looked into her love's face, some part of her still in disbelief that a woman as beautiful and gentle as Liv should really love her. A soft moan escaped her when Liv trailed her hand between her breasts, leaving a tingle on her skin that quickly spread all throughout her body.
Shuddering she leant against the fingers caressing her skin so gently and studied Liv's eyes; there was nothing but deepest love in the sparkling blue pools, and a lust that almost equaled the love Miranda could see. She licked her lips hungrily and turned her head to capture the hand cupping her cheek with her lips. "It's you who's beautiful," she said blushing slightly and let the tip of her tongue run over Liv's palm as she lightly held the hand by the wrist.
Their gazes met, two pairs of eyes darkened with passion and want for one another. It was always like this for Miranda; almost everything Liv said or did made her hunger for a chance to make love to the Princess, to show her love new ways of living out their passion, to find even more ways to make love than Miranda already knew. Miranda leant forward and brushed her lips lightly over Liv's, catching her love's bottom lip with her teeth and nibbling at it teasingly before she gently thrust her tongue past those soft curves of Liv's full lips and into the warm, welcoming mouth that tasted so uniquely like Liv.
There was no passion in the kiss at first; only an almost lazy tangling and swirling of tongues and still, it was enough to take Miranda's breath away and to wake the lust inside her for good. With a moan, she thrust her tongue deeper into Liv's mouth and tangled her hand into Liv's long, black hair as the two women fought for the upper hand of the kiss; in the end, Miranda gave in and let Liv take control of the shared intimacy. She breathed heavily as they broke the kiss after long moments to gasp for air. Locking her gaze once more with her love's, Miranda slowly shifted until she lay flat on the ground before the Princess in the most seductive way. Her hands reached up to her breasts and cupped them gently, the thumbs softly rubbing over the erect nipples. "Nakhti's fast asleep, I do not think he will awake again today," Miranda whispered invitingly, "Make love to me, please... Take me, I'm yours to do with as you please."
Liv looked down at her love and felt her breath catch at the beautiful sight laid out before her. Without saying a word Liv placed a hand between Miranda's legs and ran her fingers along the folds of her love's entrance loving the reaction this elicited from the other woman.
Leaning down she kissed Miranda first on the inside of her left thigh, then the right. "I will make love to you," Liv whispered, her voice shaky as she raised her head and glanced lustfully at Miranda. Lowering her head once more she let her tongue join her fingers in teasing the tender flesh of her love's entrance.
Miranda gasped loudly and arched from the ground as she felt her love's fingers tease her entrance. The lust that had been simmering inside her ever since they had taken off their gowns was now burning brightly, and there was no way of stopping any more. One of her hands reached up and fisted in her own hair while her other kept caressing her own breast. As Liv pressed gentle kisses on the oversensitive flesh of her thighs, Miranda moaned loudly and began roaming her hand all over her body, torn between never wanting this moment to end and already craving the endless bliss of completion.
"Yes, please," Miranda begged with a moan as Liv whispered and looked down at her love lying between her legs, "Please make love to me..." Her chest rose and fell in quick succession as her breathing came in ragged pants and her whole body trembled from the feather-like touch of Liv's fingers to the folds of her entrance; "Please, Liv, I..." The words got lost in a passionate cry as Liv lowered her head and brushed her tongue over Miranda's entrance, making her tremble almost violently with want and need.
Pleased with the reactions Miranda was showing her Liv continued lapping gently at her love's entrance momentarily before slipping her tongue inside Miranda. Liv felt a shiver run through her, as she tasted her love's sweet juices. Moving her finger slightly she began to caress her love's welling bud as her tongue continued to delve in and out of her love's hot entrance.
Unable to control herself Liv moved her own hand between her legs and began to rub herself, slowly at first but the speed increased as Miranda's gasps and moans lingered on. Removing her tongue from inside her love she flicked her tongue over Miranda's now swollen bud before biting it gently as she slipped a finger inside her love.
Her arching and writhing beneath Liv became almost frantic as Miranda felt nearly overwhelmed by the sensations that her love's tongue slipping in and out of her body and the finger rubbing her bud caused in her. She had forgotten completely about time and space; it was as if she was living just for this, for Liv making love to her and driving her insane with all the attentions she showed her shivering body.
Miranda's soft whimpers and moans floated across the small oasis as Liv continued to torture her in this sweet, sensuous way. She put her legs over Liv's shoulders to pull her love closer and rolled her hips in time with the thrusts of the Princess' tongue; her one hand was still fisted tightly in her own hair and Miranda turned her head to bite down on her arm to muffle yet another loud moan. Miranda could feel Liv writhing and with much effort lifted her head to find her love rubbing herself. She moaned and arched even further against her love's mouth and finger just as Liv withdrew her tongue, causing Miranda to whimper wantonly. "Liv, no, don't sto... nnngh!"
Once again, Miranda's words got lost in a desperate moan as her love chose exactly that moment to nibble at her swollen bud and slip a finger into her entrance, causing Miranda to buck her hips even more urgently.
Liv moaned against her love's bud as she slipped a finger inside herself. Totally lost in the heat of the moment Liv raised her body slightly forcing Miranda's legs even higher as they were over her shoulders; this gave Liv even better access to Miranda's entrance. Almost frantically she inserted another finger inside her love, seeking out her sweet spot as she began swirling her tongue around Miranda's bud. "Oh my love!" Liv gasped as her own hand was moving rapidly in and out of herself as she began to buck to meet it.
"God yes!" Miranda gasped and rolled her hips even more as Liv inserted a second finger into her trembling body and almost instantly found her sweet spot. She was close to completion already, and the noises that Liv made, indicating how close her love was too, only added to Miranda's arousal. "So close," she whimpered and gulped, "So close, please, Liv..."
Liv increased the speed of both hands, the fingers in her love and the fingers pleasing herself. Her mouth alternated rapidly from lapping at her love's bud to sucking it in her mouth and scraping it lightly with her teeth. Her breathing was becoming ragged and her body was beginning to shake. Miranda's moans and pleas only pushed her closer to her own climax, a climax she needed so badly.
Miranda's writhing and bucking was becoming faster and more erratic by the minute now; everything around her was spiraling down to the point of no return, making her vision blur as Liv drove her even further into her lust with every thrust of her fingers, every lap of her tongue and every scrape of her teeth over her bud. "God, Liv, I love you!" Miranda kept repeating these words almost like a mantra as beads of sweat appeared all over her heated body and made her skin glisten in the sunlight. At last, Miranda could not hold back any longer, and with a lustful scream of her love's name that seemed to carry all over the oasis, she gave in to her climax.
Liv pressed her mouth tightly to her love's entrance to lap up all of Miranda's sweet juices as her climax hit. The taste combined with the movements and the sound of her love's voice pushed Liv over the edge as well. She drove her body down hard upon her own hand as her climax overtook her.
Her body shuddering and trembling violently, Miranda screamed out her climax not caring at all if there were anyone to hear them. Never before had she made love in such a disclosed spot as this oasis, for even though it was off the usual tracks, there was still a real danger of being seen. Despite her order to stay in bed, Nakhti could get up and walk in on them, or some lonesome traveler could decide to seek shelter from the coming night in this oasis.
But nothing of all that happened as Miranda shuddered and writhed and bucked and rode out her orgasm, the sensation of it doubled and prolonged by Liv's hungry mouth lapping and sucking at her entrance. After a final, almost violent thrust of her hips against Liv's mouth, Miranda fell completely limp, sated and spent from the passionate way Liv had just made love to her. Gasping for breath, she looked down on her love and smiled at her as she brushed damp hair out of Liv's face.
"I love you," Liv panted as she smiled up at Miranda, trying very hard to keep her eyes open. Exhaustion was now overtaking her and she was finding it increasingly hard to remain awake.
"I love you too," Miranda replied softly and with effort reached for her love's hands to pull her up beside her. "You are amazing," she said and kissed Liv deeply, moaning softly as she tasted herself in her love's mouth, then they snuggled up in one another's arms and lay there, both of them trying desperately to catch their breath.
Miranda felt wonderfully lazy and just ever so happy as she lay there in her love's arms, on the grass in the lengthening shadows of the afternoon sun, but soon the exhaustion caused by their passion claimed its prize and Miranda unsuccessfully tried to stifle a yawn.
Blushing slightly from Miranda's words Liv slowly go to her feet. "Let's turn in my love," she whispered as she offered her hands to her love to help her up. Once the two were inside the tent Liv pulled Miranda to her for a deep long passionate kiss as her hands roamed down Miranda's back stopping at her bottom, cupping her cheeks in her hands.
As Liv pulled her close and brought her hands to her bottom, Miranda gasped into the kiss and shuddered despite herself, all tiredness chased away by the touch of Liv's hands to her body. "You are quite insatiable today, aren't you," she teased her love and put her hands on Liv's shoulders, gently forcing her to sit down on the bed with her. "But I will be more than happy to still your hunger for you," Miranda murmured and made Liv lie back, straddling her love and capturing her lips for yet another deep kiss that promised more love, lust and passion for both of them.
The sun was burning down mercilessly on the three travelers. Miranda turned around on her seat on the carriage to look back at Nakhti lying on the bench, his head in the Princess' lap. His head was covered with sweat, but he was shivering as if he was cold. Even though she had changed the dressing just a few hours ago, during a hasted halt, it was already soaked with his blood again. Although most his wounds had healed well, there was one particularly deep cut on Nakhti's shoulder that would not mend.
Miranda caught Liv's worried look and forced herself to an encouraging smile, only half succeeding. She too was worried, scared for the life of their friend and prayed to the Deities to spare the guard's life. Please spare him... He has proven himself more than worthy of your mercy, please! Take me in his stead if you want to call anyone to you, but not Nakhti!
She had steered the carriage across a shallow spot of the river that they were following north to the other bank, knowing that the paths on this side of the stream were not as occupied as on the other; with Nakhti injured as badly as he was, Miranda figured it was safer to stay out of the way of other travelers, and luckily, they met no one. Suddenly the carriage jumped over a large rock that had been hidden in the sand, making Nakhti groan in pain, and Miranda urged the horses on to go faster, though still slow enough to be able to steer the carriage safely and relatively gently.
At last, after almost two more hours of their hurried travel, Miranda spotted a small oasis about two miles or so off the normal traveling tracks. She remembered the oasis from her days of travel with various slave traders, recalling that it was rarely visited because of its remote position. Miranda steered the horses into that direction and urged them on again, and fifteen minutes later, they finally arrived at the oasis. Miranda slowed down the horses again and looked around the place, searching for the right spot for their camp.
The oasis appeared to not have offered shelter to any visitors lately, for the trees were full with fruit. The thing that caught Miranda's eye though, was a small pond, and it was full of fish. Miranda's heart skipped a beat at the sight. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! Miranda intoned silently and stopped the carriage in the shadow of a few trees.
Jumping off the driver's seat, she immediately set to putting up the tents. "Liv, would you please go and see if you can find some wood?" she asked the Princess, "And then heat up some water to clean Nakhti's wound?"
Liv rose and placed a folded blanket under Nakhti's head. "I will return shortly my love," she replied glancing to Miranda before getting down and taking an axe from the carriage. She made her way through the small grove of trees and began cutting smaller limbs from some of them, trying to get the dryer ones knowing they would burn better.
After several minutes Liv had returned and built the fire as Miranda continued her work with the tents. She was heating the water when she heard Nakhti stirring slightly in the carriage.
Raising his head Nakhti looked around. "Where are we?" he asked in a tired, weak voice. He let out a groan as he tried to rise farther into a sitting position.
The tents were set up quickly as Miranda had had time to practice for the past few days already and so she set out once she was done and collected some fruit while Liv was fussing with the cauldron. Returning to their little camp with an armful of fresh fruit, Miranda sat down beside Liv and ripped more stripes off the old gown that they were using for the dressing of Nakhti's wounds.
When the guard stirred, she gave Liv a quick glance and rose to her feet. Walking quickly over to the carriage, she found Nakhti attempting to rise. "We are at a small oasis, Nakhti," she said softly and gently forced him to lie down again. "It is off the tracks, we are safe here. Let Liv and I tend to everything while you rest. You need it," she added gently stroking a hand over his hair.
Reluctantly Nakhti lay back and looked up at Miranda as she stroked his hair. He wanted to get up and help, but he knew he had not the strength to do so. "Thank you," he said at last just before he went into a coughing spell. His body trembled slightly; he felt very cold but didn't want to say anything for he knew the women would worry.
Liv poured warm water into a bowl and took it to Miranda. "Here my love," she said, handing the bowl to her. "You will be alright Nakhti," Liv said smiling to him and squeezing his hand. She hoped the smile would hide the concern she felt inside for his health.
Miranda squeezed Liv's hand tight as she was handed the water and immediately took up her task of undressing the wound at Nakhti's shoulder and carefully washing it out. Out of the corner of her eye, she could see Liv grabbing Nakhti's hand and holding it as the treatment, no matter how careful Miranda was, gave the guard pain; it made her feel even more guilty. "I am so sorry," she murmured, not realizing she was speaking out loud what she was thinking, "Please do not hate me for putting you in such pain."
Carefully Miranda rinsed the small rag and finished cleaning the wound but refrained from dressing it again, deciding that maybe the air would finally help seal the wound. Putting aside the small bowl, she carefully helped Nakhti sit.
"Let's get you out of the carriage and over to the tents," she said softly, "You will be more comfortable there than in the carriage. Liv, help me, please?"
As the two women started helping him to a sitting position Nakhti paused and took both of Miranda's hands in his. "Hate you. How could I ever hate you my sweet girl," he said as he smiled and reached up to brush some stray blonde hair from her face.
Liv could not help but smile at the tenderness the guard was showing to her love and she could see a small blush creeping over Miranda's face from the attention as well. She was so glad Nakhti felt that way for Miranda; it made things easier for Liv too, knowing that the two people who were most important to her were getting along so great. Of course, she knew of what had happened in her father's chambers that terrible night that seemed to be so far away by now; even though Nakhti had tried to back out of it, Liv had made him tell her what he knew while they had prepared their flight and packed. Miranda's soft voice brought Liv back into the present again, and together with her love she helped Nakhti step out of the carriage.
Miranda blushed at Nakhti's words, realizing she'd spoken her thoughts out loud. She placed her hand over Nakhti's and smiled shyly. "I know you don't hate me, I just..." She trailed off and shook her head not really knowing herself why she'd thought that in the first place either. "Come on, my friend."
Together with Liv, she led the big man over to the tents and made him lie down in the larger one on a soft bedstead she had prepared inside. "I will not dress your wound again," Miranda explained as she brushed an errand strand of dark hair from his forehead, "The air should do you good and help the wound to close soon; but you need to stay in here and rest. Liv and I will not be too far away, so if you need anything, just call, but do *not* get up," she said with emphasis and leant forward to kiss Nakhti's forehead, then she left the tent and waited for Liv to emerge too.
Once her love joined her in the open again, Miranda pulled her close and kissed her softly. "We should stay here for a few days," she said softly, "As I said to Nakhti just now, it is off the tracks, so we should be relatively safe. And Nakhti needs the rest without the bumping of the carriage for a few days, or his shoulder will never heal. This place is ideal." She pointed over to the small pond. "It is full of fish, so we can stock up on something else than just dry bread and dried alligator meat. Nakhti needs a healthier diet, so we should use our stay here to stock up on as much food as possible. I will put up some bird traps too," Miranda added as she walked over to the carriage and looked through their luggage for anything she might use to fish with.
To her surprise and delight, she found that Nakhti had packed quite a large amount of rope. With a happy smile, she took the rope and returned to the fire. "I can make a small fishing net out of some of this rope," she explained to Liv, "So we can catch some fish."
"Oh fishing! That sounds nice," Liv said with a big smile as she watched Miranda working with the rope for a minute before chiming in again. "My love... um... how do you fish?" she asked, a little ashamed that she knew nothing of fishing. She had led a very protected and sheltered life within the walls of the Temple. There were some things she could do like use a sword, although her father knew nothing of her knowledge of swordplay, it had been Nakhti who had trained her in private without anyone knowing.
Inside the tent Nakhti was restless. He felt bad that he was being a burden to the women. Here he was trying to help them escape the torment of the Princess' father and was trying to protect them, now with his injured shoulder he felt totally useless. It was him they would have to protect and take care of until he healed. He had resided to that fact only moments ago when he gave Liv his sword, deciding it might be of better use with the women. He was sure that Liv would keep it close by in case it was needed. After tossing and turning for some time Nakhti finally got comfortable and closed his eyes, drifting off to sleep listening to the women talking outside.
Miranda looked up from her work and smiled. "I will be happy to show you, my love," she replied and cut a generous amount of rope for the half-finished net, "Let me start by showing you how to make a net. If you want to help me, we better have two." She patiently showed Liv how to tie the knots for the net, feeling somewhat proud at how quickly her love was learning.
Not much later, both nets were done, and Miranda got up again and also helped Liv to stand. "Come on, let's catch some fish," she said and planted a soft kiss on her lips, then picked up the nets and grabbed the Princess' hand to pull her over to the pond. "It is not hard," Miranda said, "My father showed me a few useful tricks when I was a child. I helped him a lot when I was still living with them," she added without any feeling of bitterness as it usually accompanied all her thoughts of her home though; with Liv at her side, any place in the world was just as good as her old home.
She led Liv to the very brink of the pond and stepped behind her, wrapping her arms around her and reaching for her hands. "Spread the net like this," Miranda whispered into Liv's ear, struggling to ignore the desire that immediately woke inside her at being so close to her love, though she could not help to teasingly nuzzle the Princess' nape, "and now throw it flat onto the water. Don't worry if it won't work the first time."
Liv spread her arms stretching the net wide. She wasn't sure if she was doing this right and was finding it rather difficult to concentrate on what she was doing because Miranda's nuzzling was distracting her somewhat. She was also fighting hard to resist the urge to drop the net and take her love in her arms.
"Is this correct?" she finally asked, still having no idea of what she was doing.
Miranda nodded and nibbled lightly at her love's nape, but then she forced herself not to go any further with her teasing. "Yes, you are doing well. Now you wrap that rope around your wrist so you can pull the net back onto land and then throw it onto the water, here, let me show you." She reluctantly let go of Liv and took the second net, spreading it like the Princess was holding hers already. Wrapping the end of her security rope around her wrist, Miranda securely tossed the net out onto the water; it landed perfectly flat on the surface. She had tied little stones and other anchors into one side of the net, so it immediately sank to the bottom. Miranda smiled at Liv. "You want to try now?" she asked and leant over to steal a small kiss from the Princess.
Fighting off the shiver that had just ran through her, Liv did as Miranda did. Wrapping the rope around her wrist she pulled the net back to her and tossed it back into the water. She watched it sank and smiled. "I think I'm getting the hang of this. It doesn't seem too difficult," she said looking over at Miranda.
She was taking in the sight of Miranda; the wind blowing her love's gown against her body revealing her curves, her golden hair waving in the breeze. She was biting her bottom lip and fighting off the urge to go to Miranda and make sweet passionate love to her when the tug came unexpectedly on her net. Squealing at the sudden tug she lost her balance and fell face first into the water. She came up seconds later sputtering and spitting water, her long dark hair sticking to her face and her gown clinging tightly to her soaked body.
Miranda smiled proudly when she saw that Liv was doing well and gently pulled at the rope of her own net, slowly pulling it back towards the shore, always paying notice on the tugging on the rope. "When you feel a tug at your rope, don't be scared, it tells you that fish are caught in your net," she was just saying when suddenly Liv squealed and fell into the water. "Liv!" Miranda called out and quickly wrapped the rope of her net around the trunk of a tree, then she rushed into the water where Liv was already surfacing again.
At the sight of her drained but otherwise obviously unharmed love, Miranda's fear was gone immediately; even more so, Liv looking all drained and with the hair sticking to her face was such a funny thing to see that Miranda burst into laughter. "Oh my love," she gasped, "I am sorry, I didn't mean to laugh, but..." She giggled and stepped forward to help Liv up. The ground of the pond was muddy, and so her foot found an especially slippery spot; with a squeal Miranda lost her balance and landed right next to Liv in the water, sputtering and looking just as drained as her love, though in addition her face shone in the brightest possible red.
Liv erupted in a fit of laughter as she looked at Miranda next to her in the water. Her beautiful golden hair plastered to her face as well. Moving to her Liv wrapped her arms around Miranda. "We're all wet," she said, still giggling. "Come on, let's try this again," she added as she reached under the water looking for her net. Once she found it she took Miranda's hand in hers and headed for the bank.
Tossing the net to the ground Liv took her wet garment in her hands and pulled it over her head tossing it to the ground. "It will be easier to fish without that wet gown sticking to you," she said looking at Miranda. "Well come on," she added as the woman hesitated, "Oh, you're not worried about Nakhti seeing you naked are you?" she asked as she picked up her net. "Is there anything else I need to know?" she continued, a small grin on her face, as she walked back to the waters edge where she wrapped the rope around her wrist and tossed the net back in the water.
Miranda could not help but laugh with her love as they both sat in the shallow water, wet from head to toe. She gave her love's hand a gentle squeeze and followed her back to the bank. As Liv took off her dress, Miranda blushed; partly out of embarrassment, partly, because seeing her love's gorgeous body thus, in the bright light of day, was a sight she'd never seen before. Back at the Temple, they had had to hide in the dark of night, under the blanket of the Princess' bed, or in the water of the bath.
"No, it is not Nakhti," Miranda said, her voice sounding somehow hoarse and she cleared her throat, blushing even more when Liv looked at her, "It's just... I have never seen your body in daylight before," Miranda admitted honestly, "You are so beautiful, so gorgeous... I think I am falling in love with you even more right now." She slowly reached for the seam of her own gown and pulled it over her head. Standing naked before her love made her even more conscious of her lust and desire; it took her everything not to use the fishing net she was picking up for something that had as little to do with fishing as a rock with flying.
At last Miranda stood beside Liv again, as close as she could consciously allow herself to without having to fear that she might forget about their task of catching fish. "Once the net is in the water, you slowly pull it back towards the bank again," she explained, "Don't be startled by the tugging, keep on pulling it in, just like this."
Liv was a quick learner, and so they soon had caught a rather large amount of fish, some of which Miranda was intending on drying, others on grilling over the fire, and another part was to be cooked as soup. She showed Liv how to clean the fish; they put aside the livers for Miranda to cook a salve out of it later, and the other intestines of the fish, Miranda threw into the fire for a small sacrifice to the Deities. That done and with the fish stew simmering away above the fire, Miranda leant against a trunk by the fire and spread her legs, patting the sand between them. "Come sit with me, my love," she said in an almost purring tone.
Liv looked over to Miranda and nibbled at her bottom lip as she slid from the rock she was sitting on and crawled over to her love. She came to a stop between Miranda's legs, sitting on her knees facing her. "You are so beautiful," Liv whispered as she reached out and ran her hand between Miranda's breasts, up her neck and cupped her cheek.
Her breathing quickened as Miranda watched Liv in almost cat-like movements crawl over to her; the closer her love came to her, the warmer she felt inside, until the desire to make love with Liv here and now was almost burning her. With eyes wide open she looked into her love's face, some part of her still in disbelief that a woman as beautiful and gentle as Liv should really love her. A soft moan escaped her when Liv trailed her hand between her breasts, leaving a tingle on her skin that quickly spread all throughout her body.
Shuddering she leant against the fingers caressing her skin so gently and studied Liv's eyes; there was nothing but deepest love in the sparkling blue pools, and a lust that almost equaled the love Miranda could see. She licked her lips hungrily and turned her head to capture the hand cupping her cheek with her lips. "It's you who's beautiful," she said blushing slightly and let the tip of her tongue run over Liv's palm as she lightly held the hand by the wrist.
Their gazes met, two pairs of eyes darkened with passion and want for one another. It was always like this for Miranda; almost everything Liv said or did made her hunger for a chance to make love to the Princess, to show her love new ways of living out their passion, to find even more ways to make love than Miranda already knew. Miranda leant forward and brushed her lips lightly over Liv's, catching her love's bottom lip with her teeth and nibbling at it teasingly before she gently thrust her tongue past those soft curves of Liv's full lips and into the warm, welcoming mouth that tasted so uniquely like Liv.
There was no passion in the kiss at first; only an almost lazy tangling and swirling of tongues and still, it was enough to take Miranda's breath away and to wake the lust inside her for good. With a moan, she thrust her tongue deeper into Liv's mouth and tangled her hand into Liv's long, black hair as the two women fought for the upper hand of the kiss; in the end, Miranda gave in and let Liv take control of the shared intimacy. She breathed heavily as they broke the kiss after long moments to gasp for air. Locking her gaze once more with her love's, Miranda slowly shifted until she lay flat on the ground before the Princess in the most seductive way. Her hands reached up to her breasts and cupped them gently, the thumbs softly rubbing over the erect nipples. "Nakhti's fast asleep, I do not think he will awake again today," Miranda whispered invitingly, "Make love to me, please... Take me, I'm yours to do with as you please."
Liv looked down at her love and felt her breath catch at the beautiful sight laid out before her. Without saying a word Liv placed a hand between Miranda's legs and ran her fingers along the folds of her love's entrance loving the reaction this elicited from the other woman.
Leaning down she kissed Miranda first on the inside of her left thigh, then the right. "I will make love to you," Liv whispered, her voice shaky as she raised her head and glanced lustfully at Miranda. Lowering her head once more she let her tongue join her fingers in teasing the tender flesh of her love's entrance.
Miranda gasped loudly and arched from the ground as she felt her love's fingers tease her entrance. The lust that had been simmering inside her ever since they had taken off their gowns was now burning brightly, and there was no way of stopping any more. One of her hands reached up and fisted in her own hair while her other kept caressing her own breast. As Liv pressed gentle kisses on the oversensitive flesh of her thighs, Miranda moaned loudly and began roaming her hand all over her body, torn between never wanting this moment to end and already craving the endless bliss of completion.
"Yes, please," Miranda begged with a moan as Liv whispered and looked down at her love lying between her legs, "Please make love to me..." Her chest rose and fell in quick succession as her breathing came in ragged pants and her whole body trembled from the feather-like touch of Liv's fingers to the folds of her entrance; "Please, Liv, I..." The words got lost in a passionate cry as Liv lowered her head and brushed her tongue over Miranda's entrance, making her tremble almost violently with want and need.
Pleased with the reactions Miranda was showing her Liv continued lapping gently at her love's entrance momentarily before slipping her tongue inside Miranda. Liv felt a shiver run through her, as she tasted her love's sweet juices. Moving her finger slightly she began to caress her love's welling bud as her tongue continued to delve in and out of her love's hot entrance.
Unable to control herself Liv moved her own hand between her legs and began to rub herself, slowly at first but the speed increased as Miranda's gasps and moans lingered on. Removing her tongue from inside her love she flicked her tongue over Miranda's now swollen bud before biting it gently as she slipped a finger inside her love.
Her arching and writhing beneath Liv became almost frantic as Miranda felt nearly overwhelmed by the sensations that her love's tongue slipping in and out of her body and the finger rubbing her bud caused in her. She had forgotten completely about time and space; it was as if she was living just for this, for Liv making love to her and driving her insane with all the attentions she showed her shivering body.
Miranda's soft whimpers and moans floated across the small oasis as Liv continued to torture her in this sweet, sensuous way. She put her legs over Liv's shoulders to pull her love closer and rolled her hips in time with the thrusts of the Princess' tongue; her one hand was still fisted tightly in her own hair and Miranda turned her head to bite down on her arm to muffle yet another loud moan. Miranda could feel Liv writhing and with much effort lifted her head to find her love rubbing herself. She moaned and arched even further against her love's mouth and finger just as Liv withdrew her tongue, causing Miranda to whimper wantonly. "Liv, no, don't sto... nnngh!"
Once again, Miranda's words got lost in a desperate moan as her love chose exactly that moment to nibble at her swollen bud and slip a finger into her entrance, causing Miranda to buck her hips even more urgently.
Liv moaned against her love's bud as she slipped a finger inside herself. Totally lost in the heat of the moment Liv raised her body slightly forcing Miranda's legs even higher as they were over her shoulders; this gave Liv even better access to Miranda's entrance. Almost frantically she inserted another finger inside her love, seeking out her sweet spot as she began swirling her tongue around Miranda's bud. "Oh my love!" Liv gasped as her own hand was moving rapidly in and out of herself as she began to buck to meet it.
"God yes!" Miranda gasped and rolled her hips even more as Liv inserted a second finger into her trembling body and almost instantly found her sweet spot. She was close to completion already, and the noises that Liv made, indicating how close her love was too, only added to Miranda's arousal. "So close," she whimpered and gulped, "So close, please, Liv..."
Liv increased the speed of both hands, the fingers in her love and the fingers pleasing herself. Her mouth alternated rapidly from lapping at her love's bud to sucking it in her mouth and scraping it lightly with her teeth. Her breathing was becoming ragged and her body was beginning to shake. Miranda's moans and pleas only pushed her closer to her own climax, a climax she needed so badly.
Miranda's writhing and bucking was becoming faster and more erratic by the minute now; everything around her was spiraling down to the point of no return, making her vision blur as Liv drove her even further into her lust with every thrust of her fingers, every lap of her tongue and every scrape of her teeth over her bud. "God, Liv, I love you!" Miranda kept repeating these words almost like a mantra as beads of sweat appeared all over her heated body and made her skin glisten in the sunlight. At last, Miranda could not hold back any longer, and with a lustful scream of her love's name that seemed to carry all over the oasis, she gave in to her climax.
Liv pressed her mouth tightly to her love's entrance to lap up all of Miranda's sweet juices as her climax hit. The taste combined with the movements and the sound of her love's voice pushed Liv over the edge as well. She drove her body down hard upon her own hand as her climax overtook her.
Her body shuddering and trembling violently, Miranda screamed out her climax not caring at all if there were anyone to hear them. Never before had she made love in such a disclosed spot as this oasis, for even though it was off the usual tracks, there was still a real danger of being seen. Despite her order to stay in bed, Nakhti could get up and walk in on them, or some lonesome traveler could decide to seek shelter from the coming night in this oasis.
But nothing of all that happened as Miranda shuddered and writhed and bucked and rode out her orgasm, the sensation of it doubled and prolonged by Liv's hungry mouth lapping and sucking at her entrance. After a final, almost violent thrust of her hips against Liv's mouth, Miranda fell completely limp, sated and spent from the passionate way Liv had just made love to her. Gasping for breath, she looked down on her love and smiled at her as she brushed damp hair out of Liv's face.
"I love you," Liv panted as she smiled up at Miranda, trying very hard to keep her eyes open. Exhaustion was now overtaking her and she was finding it increasingly hard to remain awake.
"I love you too," Miranda replied softly and with effort reached for her love's hands to pull her up beside her. "You are amazing," she said and kissed Liv deeply, moaning softly as she tasted herself in her love's mouth, then they snuggled up in one another's arms and lay there, both of them trying desperately to catch their breath.
Miranda felt wonderfully lazy and just ever so happy as she lay there in her love's arms, on the grass in the lengthening shadows of the afternoon sun, but soon the exhaustion caused by their passion claimed its prize and Miranda unsuccessfully tried to stifle a yawn.
Blushing slightly from Miranda's words Liv slowly go to her feet. "Let's turn in my love," she whispered as she offered her hands to her love to help her up. Once the two were inside the tent Liv pulled Miranda to her for a deep long passionate kiss as her hands roamed down Miranda's back stopping at her bottom, cupping her cheeks in her hands.
As Liv pulled her close and brought her hands to her bottom, Miranda gasped into the kiss and shuddered despite herself, all tiredness chased away by the touch of Liv's hands to her body. "You are quite insatiable today, aren't you," she teased her love and put her hands on Liv's shoulders, gently forcing her to sit down on the bed with her. "But I will be more than happy to still your hunger for you," Miranda murmured and made Liv lie back, straddling her love and capturing her lips for yet another deep kiss that promised more love, lust and passion for both of them.
