This is seriously AU. It's set somewhere that isn't made particularly clear, but if you care to think of it as 19th Century Ireland, that would work. Elijah is one of a big, dysfunctional family and Viggo is the catalyst for all kinds of drama and tragedy. There's more violence than sex in this.

How sad I am that I don't have time this evening to read beyond Chapter One.

This story drew me in right away. I especially like that you have taken time to give all of the characters a full introduction. I like the feeling that your Casey is deeply rooted in his world. Makes me trust that Viggo will be as fully alive.

I hope you enjoy the rest as well - thank you so much for reading it. Part of the joy of writing this was actually being able to take the time to physically describe each character as well as give a quick outline of their nature - that's something that's so hard in fic writing of any kind, I think, but this style just lends itself to that, so it was wonderful to be able to take that time.
