You know who you are.

When you came home
You found us.
Asleep, exhausted, resting, being renewed.

Your hand went to my cheek, your lips to his cheek,
Your heart held us both as you unpacked quietly
Showered away production meetings
And commuter flights.

I woke drowsy to his lips on yours
My arm beneath his head
Hand entwined with your fingers in his
I fucked him, sleepily
You came on his belly
He said 'I love you' to us both
Our circle of love stickily complete.

In the morning over tea, and coffee,
Three dogs bring in sandy soil from the path between our homes,
Six eyes meet
And smile.
