The folks who usually read my stuff know I am generally pretty much strictly an FPS writer, with minor exceptions. But damnit, I've been having so much fun writing Merry and Pippin, and now I got this thing stuck in my head, and since this is LJ and if people don't want to read it they can just ignore it,  there's no point in writing it and having it sit in a corner.
