A/N: This takes place in some crazy alternate reality wherein Orlando doesn’t film anything directly after Troy. Yeah, I’m not sure where/when this was, either. So here we are again, and my sister is making fun of me for using the phrase "with child", but I'll forgive her. I guess. Isn't this fanfic ridiculous? Yes, I think so, too. :) Whatever, I'm experimenting.

Arena, Dark Muse, and Double Lotus

Hey! I've been posting over at rugbytackle for a while and have a few things to share. Am posting because I have created a new fic journal at brainofck.

Rugbytacklers will remember Dark Muse and Double Lotus, which are both reposted there. (Nothing new in either.)

Also, three chapters of the new thing tenatively titled "Arena" are open. Though word of caution, I'm not going to be opening any of the rest of it probably for a couple of months.

All my stuff thus far has been SB/VM/OB, and iterations thereof, though Arena is going to be lots of pairings, if all goes as planned.

Summary: Billy has a minor fascination with a costar. But it's nothing.

Notes: So, I got it in my head that I wanted to write subtlety for subtlety's sake. Reading between the lines, hidden meanings, tension (tension = drug of choice), things unsaid but there anyway, etc. I dunno if it'll float everyone's boat, but I've got to get it out.
Important: All of the poems in each chapter are by W.B. Yeats, whom I've just recently fallen in love with. Which is weird, because ordinarily I'm not the least bit moved by poetry, and god forbid I should try to write anything so poignant myself. Anyway, I take absolutely no credit at all for them, because I'm not anywhere near qualified to even pretend I came up with something that good.

A/N: Someone woke up. This chapter is a bit of an interlude and lead into the second part of this fic. Events mentioned in this one are in chapters 2 and 4, if you want to refer back.

A/N: I wrote this fic for my Aunt Norma normajean68. She wanted this for a Christmas present, and who i am to deny anything for my favorite Aunt. Though it's a bit late (sorry). I was very nervous about writing Sean Bean and Karl Urban as a pairing, but it turned out hot so I'm happy. The title comes from the song "Closer" By Nine Inch Nails, but has nothing to do with the story. I blame it all on angelic_editor for putting it into my head. Feedback is like cocaine to me, and I fiend for it.
