Parts 1 and 2 can be found here and here.

Just a random comment: I'm a feedback whore, did I ever tell you that? (hint, hint)

Title: The Power of Suggestion.
Rating: R
Pairing: Monaboyd
Disclaimer: Not true, didn't happen.
A/N: See [livejournal.com profile] patsie's lj for the pic she scanned that inspired this. Or, even better? Buy the book to appreciate the photographer's other work first hand. The book is called "Precious." Posted because I lied to [livejournal.com profile] sistersluge and thus she said I had to. Written 10 minutes ago

cross posted to the usual.

The power of suggestion is not a trifle thing.

Disclaimer: You know that song, "Liar, liar, pants on fire"? Yeah. That's me.
Rating: Let's say R for this chapter.
Summary: It's the Middle Ages. Dom is an orphan. Billy is a butcher. Stuff happens.
Warnings: Angst. Latin. Messed-up relative ages of characters. Treated several characters very, very shabbily (but really I love Peter and Ian, yes I do!).
A/N: Huge, enormous, sloppy thanks go to lord_alexander aka Sal, who beta'd me, babied me, and shagged me into submission. Erm, I mean, provided loving and witty advice on making this much more historically accurate than it would otherwise have been, not to mention providing much-needed stylistic help. *snogs Sal madly, as per usual*

Dom/Viggo

PG: Barely.

Dom is alone in Hawaii.  Alone, except for the shadows lurking around every corner.  He's fine, as long as he's working or hitting the surf during his down time.  He’s fine, as long as he’s not thinking.  It's a fine balance though; don't think, head up and don't look behind you.  Surfing is just a metaphor for life.  And maybe that's why Billy's off in Scotland with his feet firmly under him.  Trust Boyd not to wipe out in spectacular fashion.

Notes:
1. Heartfelt thanks to my amazing beta [livejournal.com profile] xanthefic. I simply couldn't have done this without her. Of course, any mistakes are most certainly my own. (g)
2. Kind feedback is very welcome, thank you.

Chapter Nine

A huge part of me wanted to be the first to exclaim in delight over ROTK EE - and now I'm here, I just want to log off and get back to it.

Anyone not blessed with a blue box yet, be sure to watch 'Cameras in Middle Earth' as soon as possible. Lots of slashy stuff :) And weepy stuff too ...
