New Community, lotr_beginnings, looking for players!

Hallo, this is very obviously a pimp for a new RPG: lotr_beginnings. Now, some of you may recognise this name from adverts before...however, this game has been torn down and restructured a bit...so it will be starting from the beginning, and we'll be casting for the next week or so before game play starts.

lotr_beginnings is set during filming of the LOTR movies, all actors and crew from the film are welcomed--any non-LOTR actor or crew will be looked at on a case by case basis, as this is set during filming in New Zealand. We'll be forging the friendships and RP'ing the crazy situations they all found themselves in (and some of our own devising). The players will be making their own plots and ideas, so this will be a very player driven game.

You will need a character LJ (if you do not have a code for doing this, one can be provided for you) and AIM name for this game, and we will be holding a weekly (or bi monthly) group chat (a day and time will be decided amongst players once we have a cast). We require posting at least once a week (preferably more) and we are looking for mature, talented players. Experience is helpful, but not necessary. Please visit the community info page to find more information on what we will require to join. There will be slash and NC-17 posts in this game, so please keep that in mind when applying.

lotr_gathered is currently looking for members! The game has been around for some months, but we are currently revamping and recasting, so don't worry about being behind!

Here is a bit about the game:

If we have to be different, we may as well be different together.

There are more of us than you think. The not quite so normal, not always quite so human. Those of us born with talents, powers or abilities that make us different. Werewolves, fey, shifters, telepaths and witches to name a few. But being different has often meant being solitary.

Until now.

Now we are being gathered together. Its happening everywhere. Some well known universities in London have far more exclusive acceptance policies than you would think. Private clubs, law firms, in the most unlikely places we are being gathered.

Movie sets.

Alright, one movie set, although the project was so sucessful that I'm sure there will be more. But what better place to gather than in a small, quiet town, in a far away island. The film, a classic fantasy, was the subject of constant public scrutiny and debate. If they had known that its stars, its crew members, everyone right down to the very last extra was 'different' I am sure the magic of the film would seem tame in comparison.

We were chosen for 'Lord of the Rings' in order to form our own kind of fellowship. Those who had lived with being different for many years, centuries in some cases, came together to help those of us new and unused to our powers. All of us found we may be different, but we are not, entirely, alone. And many of us made the best friends we will ever have on that film set.

But all things must end, and that is the purpose of this journalling community. To keep in touch when we cannot be together physically, to offer support to each other, and to chronicle our lives.

We are scattered now, but won't lose each other again.

While the players do have powers, it is not the main focus of the game--we are also focused on the relationships between the players. For more information on the community (and how to join) please go check out the community information.

We will be setting up some sort of regular group chat, but we will be figuring this out once we have new players with the old, to determine a time that works for everyone. You will need a character LJ to play this game, and an AIM name.

We need Karl Urban, he has his own journal but the mun couldn't play him as often as she would like. All of his history has been wiped clean, so whoever comes in would have a clean slate with him. It will be up to whoever takes Karl if they wish to keep his gifts the same as they are now. You may do that or create him totally from scratch.

Any other LOTR actor is also needed and welcomed. Non-LOTR actors and OCs will be considered on a case by case basis. For non-LOTR characters you will need to show some sort of relationship or reason that they would be in the lives of the others (or have a convincing argument) and for OCs you must show what it is they will bring to the game, and why you couldn't accomplish it just as easily with an actor character.

We're a good little group here, and we're looking for mature, talented players for the pups. You will need to be able to post at least once a week (preferably more).
