“Screw it!” and wrote it ourselves, even though we do not make any money off of this. And all was right with the world."

TOFFEE


Toffee.
He tastes like toffee.
All right - maybe that’s just the caramel he’s holding in his teeth - grinning as he dares me to take it from him.
He’s straddling my chest.
This makes it hard to breathe - but then again, that could also be the thought of leaning forward to capture that caramel and follow it to the sticky sweetness of his mouth.
The reason he is holding the caramel in his teeth (aside from teasing me with it) is that he’s holding a candle.
One of those big white candles you have to go to a catholic supply store to get.
He’s sliding the toffee back and forth between his teeth, making his lips glisten like the wax running down the candle.
I’m certain his fingers are burning.
They must be.
I’m burning up, writhing with heat and I’m not the one with wax running down my arms.
His breath hisses around the candy.
Lucky Lucky Candy.

He looks me over and frowns slightly. Turning, he sets the candle on the windowsill. He looks down at me.
“I don’t like the shaved head” he mutters.
I pout, artfully quivering my lower lip.
“There’s nothing to grab on too. I’ll have to improvise…” .
He sucks the toffee into his mouth. Leaning down, suddenly, without his normal fluidness, he bites my jaw.
“Improvise…” he mumbles again, sliding his hand up my chest.
His fingers rest against my neck, trembling slightly.
I shiver.
He regains his cool and sits up again leaving a sticky, caramel flavored spot on my cheek.
His hand tightens on my throat.
I’m quivering and covered in goosebumps.
“Ahhhhh……I thought you might like this.”
His thumb strums along my jawline, caressing without relinquishing control.

He’s leaning forward again.
I long for a kiss, a taste of toffee, but he bends his head and holding the candy in his teeth again, he drags it from my navel to my neck.
Ahhhhh! Now I get a kiss.
His tongue slips into my mouth, pushing the candy ahead of it.
Finally relinquishing the caramel and my lips, he licks along my chest, savoring the sticky trail he left moments ago.
My fingers clench fists of blanket.
