"What do you want for your birthday?" Elijah's head rested on my shoulder, face pressed against my neck. "You'll be eighteen, a man."

"I'm man enough."

"But soon it'll be documented."

I felt Elijah grin. "Hmm… this," his palm passed slowly up my thigh, "and this," his hand leapt up, following the contour of my arm, "this, and…" his fingers traced patterns on my chest. He paused and looked at me, smirking. "What else?"

I arched an eyebrow, guiding his hand downward. Elijah grinned; his head fell back against my shoulder.

"Oh yes, that's right. I'd forgotten that. Thanks, Orli."
