And nobody knows it but me.
I took a line from another poem for the title, but it's all my own work. For the
lotrips100 poetry challenge. 100 Words, PG rating, and you can choose who you think the pairing might be. How's that for generous?
Sound and light
Spill across the deck
From the open door
And I await your footsteps
In the dark of the wood.
I hear the soft footfalls
And then your hand
Is on my back and
Your breath is in my ear and
Somehow the night becomes more bright.
Your mouth tastes my neck
Your beard prickles against my skin
And I lean back,
Letting you take
Letting you have
What I have to give.
And when it’s over
You will go back
Into the light and the sound and friends
And no one will be the wiser
But me.
