Fic: It Looks Like Rain (DM/EW, G/PG)
Title: It Looks Like Rain (1/1)
Author: Kris
Pairing: Domlijah
Rating: G/PG
Disclaimer: I don't know either of the lads and I haven't the slightest idea if this has ever happened to them, but if I should be so lucky to meet either/both I will ask them but until then it's all LIES! Also I stole the title from a Jann Arden song.
A/N: This story came from real life, I can't tell you how many times I have done this, in fact I just did this yesterday. You think it's raining so you get up to close the windows in a hurry and it turns out to be all sunshine and lollipops.
It's very late in the night or very early in the morning if you look at it that way. Dominic and Elijah are sleeping peacefully and comfortably in their bed. Dom is spooned up behind Lij, arms holding him tightly against his chest. The sheet had been kicked down towards the end of the bed a long time ago what with the humid, smoggy weather in the air. Suddenly Elijah awakes with a bit of a jolt and begins to get up from the bed but Dom keeps his hold on him mumbling groggily at the disturbance to his sleeping.
"Lij where are you going?"
"It's raining outside, I've got to go close the windows downstairs before the rain gets in."
"It's not raining out Lij, now go back to sleep it's like really early still."
"But it is raining Dom! I can hear it! And I left all the windows open, I don't even want to think of all the water damage that could happen." Elijah gets up off the bed and rummages around for his glasses on the bedside table putting them on.
"I don't hear anything."
"Well that's because you're deaf."
"Yeah well you're blind."
"Hey I'll have you know I see perfectly fine when I've got my glasses on and besides that has nothing to do with me hearing the rain. I'll be back before you know it and then maybe we could... you know...."
"Sleep."
"Well that's not what I had in mind, you're so unimaginative Dom." Elijah leaves the bedroom and heads downstairs while Dominic relaxes on his back with his hands folded behind his head. Five minutes later Elijah returns to the room, puts his glasses on the table and gets back into bed. Dominic is a bit confused at Elijah's actions.
"Well?"
"Well what?" Elijah snaps.
"Is our living room flooded?"
"Never mind."
"What do you mean never mind? Wasn't it pouring rain outside?"
"Never mind Dom."
"It wasn't raining was it?"
"Go to sleep Dom."
"But I thought you wanted to, you know, have some fun."
"Go to sleep Dom."
"So I get punished because you're paranoid? Well that's not fair Lij. You could at least give me some thanks for not saying I told you so."
"Good night Dom."
"Yeah well I told you it wasn't raining outside, maybe next time you'll listen to me... Ow! Oh so now we're pinching me for being right?"
"Night Dommie."
"G'night Lijah." Dom pulls Elijah back up against him again and kisses his neck softly. "By the way... I told you so Lijah."

LOL. I love his sense of humor.
I think I'm being a dork so I'll stop right here. Ha!
