Billy was sitting on the couch with his head back and his eyes closed. He was deep in thought, so he didn't hear Ali come into the room. He jumped a bit when she spoke. "Falling asleep, Billy? The night hasn't even started yet."
He looked up at her, a soft smile playing on his face. "Not sleeping," he said. "I was just thinking, remembering everything that has happened over the past years - how many years? - leading up to today. Who would have thought our tenth anniversary would have come so fast."
Ali sat down next to him. "I know. And you are still as in love as you were ten years ago."
"Even more so."
"Tell me. What made you fall in love so deeply, and what keeps you so in love?"
"It's a long story," Billy remarked. "Are you sure you want to hear it? Do we have time?"
"Plenty of time," she said. "The reservations aren't until 8."
"Well, all right then. I guess I should start with New Zealand, not long after we began filming Lord of the Rings . . . ."
