Part I
Orlando
Bloom was gay.
He’d
tell anyone a million times a day, in a million different ways and they didn’t
even have to ask. Not that it wasn’t completely obvious by just looking at him.
The way he acted, the friends he had, and the way he dressed. All signs pointed
to gayness.
The
18 year old high school student made it his goal to let everyone know he wasn’t
ashamed of his sexuality. No. Not at all ashamed of the fact that he preferred
boys over girls.
Basically,
to put it simply, he stood out as one of the real rebels at
“Orli!”
Alexandra’s voice could be heard 10 seconds before she appeared, wrapping an
arm around
“Oh
you know… still gay,”
Lexis
laughed and leaned back on the lockers. “Oh… pretty! Are you sure you didn’t
get help?”
Lexis
laughed and planted a soft kiss on Billy’s cheek, turning to watch Dom attack
“Ah,
what’s the matter baby?” Dom teased back, opening
“Come
on Orli, it’s the first day of the new school year and we’re finally seniors.” Billy said
happily, tugging on his soft brown coat.
Billy
and Dom had been a couple for the past three years and had known each other
since birth really. Billy was always the more calm, down to earth guy while Dom
dressed in outrageous colors and always goofed around. All in all, they made a
wonderful pair.
“It’s
still school,”
“Advanced
American History,” Dom and Billy said together, smiling brightly.
“Don’t
tell me, same schedules?” Lexis asked with a bright smile. She had always been
a supporter of Dom and Billy’s relationship. It was a running joke between the
four that Lexis knew all three boys were gay before they did.
The
four had been best friends since they were little, grew up together, and were
always there together. Naturally Billy and Dom were closer, as were
“Well
I for one have Lit… and… holy fuck who is that?!?” Lexis trailed off as her
eyes landed on a girl and a guy walking side-by-side down the hall. Both had
light brown hair, the boys spiked up while the girls was cut at her shoulders
and curled under. But the most amazing thing, what had Lexis in a daze, was
their matching, amazing bright blue eyes.
“Ah,
Elijah and Veronica Wood…” Billy supplied, a smirk on his face at both
“New
kids,” Dom took over explanations. “They’re twins. Moved in next door to Billy
this summer. Elijah is a football player, went to the camp and everything. I
hear he’s got major talent.”
There
was no way he could be straight. He was too pretty to be straight. Those
bright, gorgeous blue eyes. That spiky brown hair. Those khakis and incredible
blue polo shirt that had never looked better on any man Orlando had ever seen.
That was a good sign.
The
bad sign came when a large group of incredibly straight football players walked
up and pulled Elijah forward, cheering him like he was their best friend. Then
the even worse sign approached Elijah in form of a giggly blonde, head
cheerleader, and kissed him hard on the lips, his hand wrapping around her
waist.
“Damn,
he’s straight,” Dom cursed, patting
“Oh
listen Orli, I know you think he’s hot…” Lexis laughed, shaking his head. “But
that’s a lot of hope to put in…”
“Lex,”
*~*~*~*~*
Elijah
was thrown off course by the tall, lengthy dark haired boy standing with three
others. The man’s eyes bore into him, seeming to be diving into his soul to try
and read some emotion that he didn’t even know existed.
Something
inside him sparked and he found himself blushing brightly as his eyes traveled
just briefly down the body of the well dressed boy. His heart began to race a
little as his eyes landed on the boy’s waist, not daring to go lower.
“Wood!”
The cheering of his football friends made him jerk up and look at them in
surprise, blushing just a little before
shrugging it off, bidding goodbye to his sister, and receiving a kiss from his
girlfriend Lindsey.
He
walked off with his friends, laughing and messing around. Slowly his head
twirled back and he caught sight of the boy’s jean clad ass, a blush once more
shooting us face and making him quickly turn away. He definitely shouldn’t be
looking at guys like that.
*~*~*~*~*
“Hey
guys,” Lexis came up to the table where Orlando, Dom and Billy sat, stepping
over the bench, a girl beside her. “This is Veronica Wood, turns out we had our
first two blocks together, so I thought I’d invite her to lunch.” Lexis smiled
brilliantly at her.
Orlando,
Dom and Billy shared knowing looks. “Hey Veronica, you have something you go by
for short?”
“Um…
not really,” Veronica shrugged, looking somewhat shy at
“Well
we shall dub you Ve,” Dom nodded, his hand going to rest on top of Billy’s
hand. “I’m Dom, this is Billy.”
“Yeah,
you live next to us right?” Veronica asked Billy.
“Yup,”
Billy nodded, smiling and shaking her hand.
“I’m
“It’s
different,” Veronica shrugged. “I come from
“Cool,”
Orlando nodded, his eyes raising from where Dom was starting a conversation
with Veronica about her choice in clothing to search around the cafeteria.
In
the next instant they found what they wanted to find, Elijah.
Now
he was able to take in the full length of his body, still surprised that khakis
could look so good on one single person. The fell just right, fit just right.
His eyes traveled back up Elijah’s body and found that the blue eyes were on
him.
Their
eyes stayed locked as
“What?”
He looked at her, a little annoyed but mostly just amused.
“You
were staring,” Lexis commented, looking over her shoulder to spot the object of
*~*~*~*~*
Elijah
knew that the tall boy was watching him the minute he walked into the
cafeteria. After glancing around and realizing no one was paying him any
special attention, he dared to look up and meet his eyes.
He’d
spent all of second block trying to pretend that those chocolate brown eyes weren’t
fixated on him. He couldn’t understand why any one person would be so
fascinated with him.
Blue
eyes locked on brown as Elijah stood purposelessly in the middle of the
cafeteria, his eyes locked with those of that strange boy that he couldn’t get
out of his mind.
The
eyes were torn from him a second later, and moved down to a girl who sat beside
his sister at their table. A small frown lined his lips and he turned to go
join his other football players.
“Hey
Wood, how’s classes?” Scott, one of Elijah’s many friends he made over the
summer, looked up at him as he sat down.
“They’re
okay,” Elijah nodded, shifting the food on his plate. He’d never admit it to
his fellow players, but he very much liked school, especially now that he was a
senior. He loved learning, it was one of his favorite things. “So… how are those
people sitting over there with my sister?” Elijah gestured to the table where
the boy with those eyes, the ones suddenly haunting him, sat.
“Oh,
well, the girl is Alexandra, she goes by Lexis though. Um… that’s Dom and Billy
and the dark haired one is
“Huh?”
Elijah’s head shot to Scott, away from the table. “All of them?”
“Yup,”
Scott nodded. “Dom and Billy are a couple, I guess you could call them that.
And
Elijah
looked down at his own clothes and shrugged, not seeing what the big deal was
or how that proved anything. But he nodded his head and went back to eating;
only half paying attention to the chatter of football plays around him. For
some reason the name
