Perfectly Monstrous
Title: Perfectly Monstrous
Author: Aiquale
Fandom: LoTR RPF/S
Rating: PG
Archive: Just let me know
Disclaimer: Don't I WISH I owned them...
Warnings: Semi-fluff
Pairing: dm/mo
Summary: Gossip always has a bit of truth...
Notes: I tried writing this for lotrips100, but it refused to adhere to that brevity, but it does follow the random book quotes challenge. Also, do not flame me, I haven't gotten it beta'ed, so excuse any grammar mistakes.
"It is perfectly monstrous the way people go about nowadays saying
things against one behind one's back that are absolutely and entirely true."
-Oscar Wilde, The Portrait of Dorian Gray
A bluish light flickered from the next room, waking the previously sleeping Dom. He fumbled for the clock on the nightstand to see the time, which registered more in the morning hours than the night, and made his way sleepily to the source of the offense.
The bluish light emitting from the computer betrayed the offender, who, totally engrossed with the screen, didn't notice a slightly cranky hobbit sneak up behind her.
"Miranda, love, what're you doing?" Dom said while kissing the back of her neck, making the guilty party jump slightly.
"Aw, Dom, I didn't mean to wake you..." she murmured, her hand sliding up his neck to play with his hair.
"What are you looking at anyways?" He breathed into her ear, "We have an early call tomorrow you know. The riders of Rohan must be well rested." He teased.
"I know, I know," Miranda's eyes remained locked on the screen, "but have you seen some of these fan sites? Sometimes you wonder if they are psychic or something" she mused.
"Oh," Dom tilted her head back, kissing his way down her face till he reached her lips, "let them talk, more fun that way."
Miranda smiled.
