"Intermezzo", Drabble, no pairings really

Miranda sits on the small boardwalk, feet touching the water. The sun beats down. Sunhat and glasses give some protection.

Liv and the hobbits chase each other around, laughing. They are playing tag, a version that requires much slapping on bottoms.

Viggo and Sean recline in deckchairs, drinking beers. A cooler between them keeps them supplied.

Miranda closes her eyes and leans back, to absorb as much of this moment as she possibly can. Deep in her heart, she knows she has never been, and never will be, this happy.

Then Dom and Billy sneak up and push her in.

Hilarious ending. I can imagine the look on Billy's face when he and Dom push Miranda into the water.... perhaps jumping in after or being pushed by yet another onlooker.

I'm glad you liked it. I wrote this after writing some Utter Utter Porn, and just wanted to clean out my system with something romantic and (almost) sexless.

The ending was the last thing I added. The original scheme was to end with Miranda's happiness, but then I though the pomposity needed a slight puncture (but fear not, she comes up laughing ...).
