Across the Room...(1/?)
Across the Room, Across the Sea (1/?)

Author’s Note: Chapter One. Erm....yeah. ^^

Orlando froze in place. The stranger coughed and looked up at the confused waitress, quickly ordering his drink. He grabbed his gloves and headed towards Orlando.
Orli quickly collected himself, shutting his open mouth and clearing his throat. The man slid into the chair opposite him. They sat in silence, just staring at each other. The waitress walked over and set the mug in front of the blond.
“Your double latte sir.”
Orlando’s eyes widened more than he’d ever thought possible.
“Do I...do I know you?” he asked.
The stranger raised an eyebrow. “I think you do.”
“You’re...”
“Legolas.” Legolas held out his hand, and Orlando took it tentatively.
Orlando used the opportunity to lever himself into a better seated position. He examined the features of the other man, the identical high cheekbones, slightly crooked nose, and high forehead. The pale hair that framed his face definitely made him look like Legolas. But lots of superstars had look-alikes. Body doubles, people who distracted fans so they could get away easily, and even crazy fans themselves. This ‘Legolas’ could be anyone.
“Prove it.”
Legolas glanced up at him and lowered the steaming mug. He kept one hand wrapped around it; the other travelled to his hat and lifted the black material. He pushed his hair back. Visible against the strands was a perfectly pointed ear.
Legolas smirked and removed his scarf and rolled down the right shoulder of his jumper. A faded, slightly raised scar jumped out against pale skin.
“Orcish arrow. The only time I was ever caught, protecting that damn dwarf.” He chuckled at the memory. “You think I’m mad?”
Orlando nodded.
“Do you trust me enough to accompany me to my apartment? I have some things there that will most likely convince you.”
Legolas twined the scarf around his neck several times before tucking the end into his japara. Orlando narrowed his eyes, but nodded. Legolas stood and zipped up his coat, waiting for Orlando to ready himself for the weather.
“Follow me.”
