Mother Ocean. Dom/Elijah. G.
I've never done this (never posted a story here) before but I hope y'all like it. :) Be gentle.
Note: This came to me after listening to Dom discribe how surfing allowed him to give his heart to the ocean. I fell in love with it *listens to MP3 again*
Title: Mother Ocean
Author: Erin [thehush]
Pairings: Dom/Lij
Rating: G

E-mail address for feedback: the_hush1@yahoo.com
Summary: He felt alone, but the ocean told him otherwise. Dominic POV.
Disclaimers: I do not own Dom or Elijah, but if I did, they'd play in the ocean everyday. *g* Also this is a work of fiction, so no hating if you have a thing against RPS.
Warnings: Real Person Slash - ie: the story is based on real people and the plot is slashy, meaning one sex loves the same sex.
There were many reasons why he had connected with the ocean - some weren't even from the water itself. A few occurred on the days when the sunset was its clearest. When the sky was a swirl of fire and starlight. When the moon and the sun kissed his skin. When the tide rocked him back and forth and the tiny fishes nibbled his feet. When Middle Earth still possessed them, guarding them from the quick and unloving dawn of their time.
Dominic lay his on his back, staring up into the sky on his surfboard. Orange and navy reflected in his gray eyes while his skin ached from want. It had been an hour since he had lain down to let the voice of the sea lull him to sleep. He was exhausted from surfing and feeling very alone for once. It was an odd and sickening feeling that made him want to walk back to his apartment and sleep. But instead, he meditated. The great blue yonder was his Buddha and he was its follower.
Closing his eyes, he waited - waited for a sign that said he would find peace - at least for tonight. He never expected to get an answer. But when he opened his eyes, eyes bluer than a sapphire, bluer than any sky, greeted him warmly.
Dominic was lost in them, feeling the good intentions echoing through the man above him like a great harmony sung out in chorus. His dry lips parted and he was shocked by the sadness in his own voice. "Elijah."
The young man above him smiled with his soft pink lips. The retreating sun made Elijah's skin glow - his skin was like frost. They're bodies proved time and again that the maker had etched them out of winter and summer. Gray winter eyes for a body glowing with summer sun - blue eyes of summer for a body laced in winter frost. They were yin and yang.
It was one of the many reasons.
A gentle voice and delicate hand caressed his face. "Are you alright?"
Closing his eyes again, Dominic felt safe. All the uncertainness of his life melted away with the setting sun. "I... I was just feeling a bit out of place."
Those lips, so soft he almost mistook it for the breeze, grazed his forehead and replaced the sick feeling of loneliness with warmth.
The sun disappeared below the horizon - the ocean whispering in motherly tones. You are not alone.
