Before Orlando had a chance to say much more to that, they were being
called back away from their break. Orli glanced to where the voices
were calling, then back to Craig. He leaned forward, pressing a
light-almost chaste-kiss to the corner of Craig's mouth before
darting off with a fleetness that made him perfect for the role of an
elf.

He still had a lot of reservations about this, but Craig had given
him enough that he could consider it, could maybe (just maybe)
believe it could work.

The rest of the shoot went much too slowly, though it would have
taken someone who knew Orlando very well (even better than the
friends he had made here) to note that his mind wasn't totally where
the rest of him was, for it had no effect upon his work.

Not to mention he was cold, so damn cold, and tired.

_+_+_+_+_+

Craig smiled in happiness at the kiss. He heard the voices, the now getting
insistent voices, but he really didn't care. He just stood, blinking a
little as they turned the rain back on and the spray hit him. He lifted his
head into the waters spray, smile turning into a grin until some intern came
and literally dragged him back to the part of the set they were using today.

"Come on Parker, no rain dancing today please! We've still got two shots to
get in before we change the lighting rig" PJ joked. And Craig just smiled,
smiled until the cameras clicked into action and Haldir took over. Smiled
through the 'lunch' break at 2am, smiled through the closing briefing at
5am, smiled until he found himself in his normal clothes, blonde hair and
ear tips gone, waiting by his flashy car, keys dangling in his hand as he
leaned against it, waiting for Orli. Waiting to say yes again. Happiness and
warmth flooding his heart, fledgling feelings fluttering in his chest.

And still smiling.

_+_+_+_+_+

Orlando had purposely kept his distance during their breaks, feeling it was
important somehow. Truly having wanted Craig to think about what he had
said, what he had said yes to. Now though, he couldn't wait to get out of
the make up trailer, to become Orli again instead of Legolas. He was
nervous--he was nervous that Craig might have changed his mind, and better
yet, of the talk they still needed to have.

Finally, he was himself again--ears, wig and costume all put safely away. He put on his tattered jeans and his loud shirt, running a hand through what little hair he had and headed for the lot--finding Craig leaning against his car. Chewing his lip
a moment, he hesitated, then continued on to where the other man was
waiting.

"Hi..."

_+_+_+_+_+

Craig looked up at the sound of the voice, thoughts banished as he gazed
openly at Orli, then realised he was staring and blinked. "Hi." Fluttering
feeling spreading into his legs, knees almost shaking visibly as he pushed
himself off the car, smiling.

_+_+_+_+_+

"So where are we going?" Orlando asked with an ease he didn't feel, having
to still channel Legolas to even pretend to be calm about this. "And are we
going together?"

_+_+_+_+_+

Orlando seemed so calm, so together, and Craig just felt like he was
falling apart.

"Well, I drove. And we have three choices. Yours, mine or
there's a restaurant by the harbour I know, opens at 6am, does great
brekkie's." He nibbled on the inside of his bottom lip. "Your choice I think."

_+_+_+_+_+

Orlando stepped closer to Craig, not quite touching, just looking at him.
"Are you overly tired? If not, I'd like to go get some breakfast," He
responded, trailing a hand down Craig's arm, finally slipping it into
Craig's hand.

_+_+_+_+_+

//Oh fuck oh fuck oh fuck oh fuck! Why do I suddenly feel like I'm not in
control of this entire morning? One touch and he can reduce my mind into a
blob of jelly.//

"Sure, food always sounds good. Especially after a long
day's, night's, whatever's filming!" He squeezed the hand lightly, trying to
act calm, like he did this kind of thing every day, like he was normal.

_+_+_+_+_+

"Alright then," Orlando stated, squeezing Craig's hand again, then dropping
it. "I assume you know the way?" He leaned against the car, waiting for
Craig to open the door.

_+_+_+_+_+

Now this was more familiar territory for Craig. He opened the door in a
gentlemanly manner, "I do." He quipped, closing the door with a soft click
as Orli got in, walking as sedately as he could around the car before
getting in the drivers side, belting up and putting the key in the
ignition.

"Do you like fast rides?" He asked, glancing over at Orli, mirth
filling his face, eyes twinkling in the red dawn light

_+_+_+_+_+

Orlando raised an eyebrow at Craig's question, then shrugged one slender
shoulder. "That depends on the destination I suppose."

_+_+_+_+_+

Craig smiled again, feeling more confident here in his car, his lovely
shiny, sleek sports car.

"Anywhere you want to go...I'll take you." //So
clichéd and yet so very, very nice.// He thought to himself as he turned
the car on quickly, shifted from first to second to third gear before they'd
left the car park, zooming off down the country lane that ran towards the
city, towards civilization and home.

_+_+_+_+_+

Orlando just smiled at Craig's words, turning his attention to the scenery
passing by so quickly as the man drove. This was a quiet time, no need to
jump right into conversation yet. A quiet ride through the country, even if
it was going by at warp speed. Orlando kept his eyes on the horizon,
watching the rising sun. This wasn't the picture he had of how this day
would begin (or end as it were) but he wasn't complaining.

_+_+_+_+_+

Craig loved the open rode, just him four wheels and scenery you could hardly
see. And Orli. Well, Orli just completed the package in so many ways. Never
in his wildest fantasies did Craig ever picture himself taking someone out
on what could possibly be considered a date, even if it was an odd sort of
breakfast date. Craig was still as nervous as all hell when the city came
into sight, some lights still twinkling in the morning vista as they crested
over a hill, joined a proper road and then a larger one, leading straight
into the harbour area. Finally coming to a stop in the car park of what was
labelled in flash neon lights 'Victor's Dinner'.

It was an old barge, now dry docked and transformed into a cafe, two sleepy occupants already visible in booths in the window. "Looks like it's open already. I hope you're hungry." He quizzed, stilling the engine and grabbing his jacket from the back seat, putting it on as he walked around to let Orli out. "They do huge sized portions." Craig said, then chuckled at his own words, laughing inside at
the innuendo, when he hadn't meant it at all.

_+_+_+_+_+

"Well there are always to-go boxes, and I'll have to see if they have
anything I can eat," Orlando responded, getting out as Craig opened his
door. He wasn't sure how long he would last with his own self imposed
'behaving'...but he was going to try, no matter how much he wanted to
reach out and grab Craig, and just kiss him. Shaking himself slightly, he
wrapped his arms around his body in the chill morning air.

_+_+_+_+_+

"I'm sure they will do, they do healthy stuff as well as the usual junk."
Craig saw that Orli was obviously cold in the chill air "Come on, lets get
you inside, in the warm." He placed a guiding hand on the small of Orli's
back, and walked them towards the dinner's entrance.

_+_+_+_+_+

Orlando shivered at the feeling of Craig's hand on his back, letting the
man guide him into the interesting little diner. A pleasant, older lady sat
them down with a smile, placing menus before them.

_+_+_+_+_+

"Thanks Maude." Craig smiled charmingly up at the lady, as she winked and
practically waddled back behind the counter. Then he concentrated on his
menu, though he wasn't looking for something for himself, he knew this menu
off by heart already. He reached over, pulling Orli's menu down, smiling and
pointing at a breakfast dish. "How about that?"

_+_+_+_+_+

Orlando laughed softly when he calls the woman by name. "Maude eh? I miss
Maude...she's my dog, or was my dog. Sam has her now...." Shaking his head
a bit, Orlando glanced at what was on the menu. "This place actually has
tofu?"

_+_+_+_+_+

Craig laughed. "Please don't tell Maudey she has your dog's name, I'm rather
fond of the old dear! Yes, this place has tofu, and sunflower seed bread if
you want it, and herbal tea. Maude knows this place is haunted by mad actor
types because it's cheap and cheerful and warm, and open all hours of the
day. This place has seen me through many a job role, not much of a cook
myself, no time for it."

_+_+_+_+_+

"Sounds wonderful," Orlando said with a grin. "And I would not insult her
by telling her she has my dog's name, Maude's my special girl." Another big
grin as he looked through the menu. "I like to cook. I've sort of had to
learn how, given my sometimes odd eating habits."

_+_+_+_+_+

"Sounds interesting," Trying to keep the conversation light, wanting some
food inside him before he tackled any of the big questions. "What odd eating
habits are these?"

_+_+_+_+_+

Orlando grinned, taking a napkin from the dispenser and twisting it about in
his fingers, shrugging. "I'm a vegetarian, and I don't really do dairy
products. Not exactly vegan, but close." Orlando smiled, looking at Craig
full on. "But I do eat pizza."

_+_+_+_+_+

Craig smiled a little shyly at Orli. "As long as you eat some kinds of
meat it's okay." Unable to keep a straight face, laughing happily.

_+_+_+_+_+

It actually took Orlando a moment to get what Craig meant--call it
inexperience or simply being cracked out from long hours. He gave Craig a
look, though it didn't hold, a blush creeping into his cheeks, not able to
find a response for that.

_+_+_+_+_+

"I'm sorry! Call it my perverted sense of humour." His laughter lines
dropping a little, honest look replacing them, boldly reaching out his hands
to still Orli's as they twisted his napkin. "It kicks in...when I'm
nervous."

_+_+_+_+_+

Orlando smiled wryly, looking at Craig's hands on his own, then back up at
his face--still blushing deeply. "I don't know what kinds of meat I like
yet..." He refused to admit more than that.

_+_+_+_+_+

"Oh...ohhh. Of course not" Craig remembered Orli's admissions of
inexperience when it came to full on sex. Craig realised now he was
inexperienced at a whole lot more than that. "I'm sure you'll learn...in
time." Craig tried to keep the hopefulness sound out of his voice, but it
still crept in there.

_+_+_+_+_+

Orlando blushed even deeper at Craig's words, thankful when the coffee he
had already ordered arrived, wrapping his hands around it. "Perhaps I
will..."
