Birthday Ficlet ...
In true hobbit fashion I give this as a gift on my birthday. Here's to hoping you guys don't think it stinks, because if so ... sorry! *blush*
Title: Untitled
Author:
lady4her_knight
Rating: PG-13?
Pairing: Billy/? It's a surprise, but not really if you know me at all.
Warning: Very light het theme/sex, but it's quick and relatively painless, I promise!
Disclaimer: F-I-C-T-I-O-N ... look it up.
"Open your eyes Billy." She knew he heard her pleas, even through his own heavy, labored breathing and chose to ignore it.
Billy closed his eyes more tightly against the voice, trying to block out everything but the sounds of sex and his own heartbeat pounding in his ears. He was too close.
"Billy ... look at me."
It had turned from a plea to a demand and Billy knew he had to do as she asked. He begrudgingly obeyed.
The moment he opened his eyes she knew what she had already suspected. She watched the disappointment flit across his face as his eyes made contact with her own and knew he had been thinking of stormy gray eyes instead of her own. She also felt the change and knew he wouldn't last. She could feel him becoming soft, still inside her, slowing down. She could almost hear his internal pleas with his own body not to betray him, but she knew it was over. A lot of things were over.
Billy moved, bringing a hand down between them and her spread thighs. He wanted to give her pleasure, even if he couldn't have his own. None of this was her fault. He blushed and smiled apologetically as he limply slipped out of her.
She had closed her own eyes in frustration, but felt him moving, changing positions before his fingers had even reached her. "Don't bother."
The ice in her voice made Billy flinch. "I'm sorry ... I don't know what's wrong. I'm just tired I guess."
"Let me up." She struggled out from under him and out of the bed. "You and I both know exactly what's wrong." She angrily stepped into a pair of jeans and turned to grab her shirt off the floor.
Billy quickly got up and pulled on sweatpants, watching as she hopped around, putting on her shoes as she was going out the bedroom door. "Where are you going? I don't know what you're talking about. Baby please wait."
She rounded on him just outside the bedroom door. "Don't treat me like an idiot and don't call me baby!" She turned again, making her way to the front door, wanting to leave.
Billy grabbed her arm just as she was about to pick up her handbag and keys. "Just tell me what's wrong, please."
She rounded on him. "It's over Billy. I'm tired of being your replacement. I'm tired of laying beneath you while you close your eyes and think of him and I'm tired of being face down in the sheets listening to you struggle not to call out his name."
Billy's hand slid off her arm and he stared in shock. "I ... I don't know what you mean ... there's no one else ..." Billy stammered.
She grabbed her bag and keys and opened the door before turning back to Billy. "You're right, there's no one else. It will always be only Dominic." She twisted the engagement ring off her finger and threw it at Billy.
Billy watched as the ring bounced off his chest, jumping slightly as the door slammed. His eyes followed the ring as it hit the floor and rolled, until it came to a stop against a foot with pastel polish on the nails and black stars and unreadable words on the skin.
To be continued ...
