second__star is opening soon and needs players!
If you sight the second star to the right and fly straight on 'til morning, you end up in a magical land where children never grow up and faeries and pirates aren't just myths.
Or do you?
Welcome tosecond_star, a LotR RPS/Peter Pan crossover RPG. You've never seen a Neverland like this before. Everyone's back, but they're all grown up, and most of them aren't very happy about it. The Real World isn't the only place that's changed and now cynical adults have to find their inner child, or at least their inner happy thoughts.
Setting: Peter and the Lost Boys have long since left Neverland to grow up. When they left, children stopped coming. Neverland was left to its other inhabitants. People in the real world started thinking that that tales were only tales and that Neverland didn't exist.
But Neverland does exist, and it wants the children back so much that it brings them there itself. Unfortunately, the children who once ran happily through the forests are now adults who don't believe in their childhood adventures.
They may, however, be just the people to remind everyone else that there is a place where the stories are real.
Plot: Neverland exists because people believe it does. But that belief is fading quickly. Already, Neverland is a much more grown-up place. The Lost Boys have been brought back against their will so they can remember what it was like and so the stories can be believed again.
Characters: Available characters include any actor associated with the Lord of the Rings movies as well as any character named in Peter Pan. The LotR actors can be whatever you want them to be—former Lost Boys, Faeries, Indians, or Pirates. Peter Pan characters have to be whatever they were in the book/movies, only all grown up in the case of the children.
Please note that this is an adult RPG. While the characters of Peter Pan may have been children in the book and movies, they will be all grown up in this game. There will be no exceptions to this.

How to Join:
In order to join you will need to submit the following things to Second Star Mod.
1. Your name (or the name you wish to be known by online).
2. Your real online journal. (Only the mods will see this.)
3. The name of the character you wish to play, and a second choice if you have one.
4. What your character is (Lost Boy, Faerie, Indian, Pirate…)
5. A sample of writing (preferably about or from the POV of your desired character), or a link to another LJ (or LJ-type) RPG if you are involved in one. (This will also only be seen by the mods)
6. What kind of RP experience you have, if any.
7. What time zone you are in and how often you are online and available to play.
8. Any other information you might wish to share or any questions you may have.

This game has not started yet, so there is still a chance to get in from the beginning. We hope to be starting soon, though, and we'd love to have more people! It should be a lot of fun!
