Part 1
PART 2
It had been two days since Elijah had just up and left. Dom knew it was a mistake to kiss him. He didn’t know why it had taken him so long to realize that Elijah was all he wanted in life. They had been best mates, nothing more, and now it seemed like even that was no longer an option.
Dom hadn’t moved from his spot on the couch. He stared at the TV that wasn’t on. The only picture he saw was the look on Elijah’s face. The whole scene kept playing itself over, and over again in Dom’s head.
The phone had rung numerous times, but Dom never picked up. He didn’t know if Elijah had told anyone about what happened, and right now he didn’t care. Right now all he wanted was for Elijah to come back.
It was around 5:00 when Dom heard a knock on the door. “What do you want?” He yelled from his spot on the couch. The doorknob turned and in walked Orlando. Great, just what he needed, company.
Dom’s eyes were bloodshot from crying and he hadn’t slept so there were dark circles under his eyes as well.
“You look like shit.” Orlando said, handing Dom a beer.
“Well thanks for the encouragement.” Dom took a swig of the beer and rubbed his eyes. “I suppose you’ve talked to Elijah.”
Orlando was silent for a while. “Yeah…. I did. He’s been staying at my place. I thought you’d like to know that he has been doing the exact same thing that you are doing only you’re here, alone.”
Dom sat up, startled at Orlando’s words. “He ran away, Orlando. Why the fuck would he be moping?”
“For that reason, he ran away. He didn’t want to, you know. You scared him shitless. You guys are best mates.”
“It’s not like it’s something I could’ve helped. Orlando, will you please leave? I just want to be alone right now.” Dom started to cry again.
“Yeah, sure.” Orlando stood up and looked at Dom. “I think you should call him.”
Dom scoffed at that remark. There was no chance he was going to call Elijah and embarrass himself again.
After Orlando had left, Dom decided he should take a shower, because frankly, the smell was beginning to disgust him.
Dom was in the shower for a good two hours before he felt mostly clean, and even after he didn’t feel completely clean. He figured it might have been his guilt that wasn’t clean. He wrapped a towel around his waist and walked out of the bathroom. The sky had grown dark.
Dom went into his bedroom to put some clean clothes on and then made his way back to the couch.
The second he walked into the livingroom lightening flashed and the power went out.
When the lightening flashed again, Dom saw a figure sitting on the couch.
It was Elijah.
