A/N: Not exactly a sequel, but set in the same universe as "Dominic's Gifts." Most of the story takes place forty-eight years in the future, in 2052, just a few days after the death of Dominic Monaghan.

Beta by the brilliant and wonderful empress_wu, without whom my life would be so much poorer.

Warnings: Many original characters. Shifting timelines. Uncertain memories. Some dialog written in dialect. This story would probably make more sense if Dominic's Gifts were read first.

This fic does not feel finished. As in I am betting you may be considering writing one or more parts yet. I truly hope you are.

Please, please fill us in with Billy. You've given us the briefest of remarks and none of them from him at all. Please?

Actually, I hadn't considered another chapter until you said this. But it might be nice to have a third (and final) story that focuses on Billy.

I'm not very good at sequels, but I promise to think about this. Maybe inspiration will strike.

Oh I think you are better with sequels than you think. Trust yourself. That story with Billy is in you, I know it.
