The water came down in sheets. Huge, hard, heavy sheets of freezing cold water. It wasn't even past noon yet, but it was dark and there was an eerie mist floating through the neighborhood. It was quiet and still; only the thick pounding of the rain on the roof and against windows and doors could be heard. Elijah was bundled in a thin blanket on the couch. He held no expression on his face; his eyes were just glazed a dark, poisonous blue, his lips held thin and tightly together as he sat and stared.

His touch had been so soft and danced lightly across his skin. Elijah had whimpered slightly as burning hot lips brushed butterfly kisses all over his small, frail frame. He had treated Elijah as a delicately as a porcelain doll, as if he might break if one small wrong move was made. Elijah didn't want to be touched as an innocent though. He wanted to be taken fully and completely, so when he woke up the next morning he couldn't move. He wanted the passion to fill him and rip him to pieces. He wanted to be thrown roughly against the bed and be taken over to oblivion as if he would never return. He wanted to bleed, to weep, to scream. He wanted the cold, hard-hitting pain thrashing through his body. But it never came.

There was only soft, caring touches, quiet murmurs of love and promises, and the sweet addiction of a teasing tongue. Elijah didn't want this. He didn't want the love. He didn't want love.

Elijah loved him, but he wasn't supposed to love Elijah.
