oh, it's me AGAIN

Yes, it's me again. 2 drabbles in one day! It must be record for me. You'll be sick of me by the end of the day.

Pairing: Once again, this could be anyone you imagined, let me know who you think of.

"What if a train comes?"
"It won't. Besides, if it did we would hear it."
"Oh." Smoke blown into your face.
"You should quit that."
"I know."
Silence.

Crunch of pebbles under hard boots and black Chuck Taylors.
He never was smart at choosing appropriate footwear.
You watch him walk down the tracks.
There's no destination. No end to the journey. The vanishing point wasn't really there. How could there be a point where everything ends?
Life's a journey, not a destination, after all. Aerosmith. For a split second you think of Liv, but out of the corner of your eye you see him slip on the wet rocks.
Without even knowing it, you're behind him. Wrapping your arms around his chest, trying to hold him up the split second before he hits the ground.
You still fall. Together.
He laughs.
You hated the way he laughs since the day you met him, but you'd grown to love it.
"Trying to sweep me off my feet? Save me, eh?"
You laugh. Together.
His lips are parted.
Without even knowing what you're doing, your lips are on his. And he's kissing you back.
You think that you found the point where everything ends.
After this, everything ends and He begins.
You pull apart.
You touch your lips, uncertain that it had just happened.
He stands up and extends his hand to help you up.
"You kiss like a girl," you tease.
You were always one to ruin the moment.
He laughs and pulls you up.
"Does that make me the Damsel in Distress?"
You nod.
He smirks.
Without knowing it, you've grasped each other's hands.
You walk on. Together.
Without knowing it, you've fallen in love.
You promise yourself to stop doing things without knowing it, but stop when you realize that everything you were oblivious about doing has saved you.
His voice interrupts your thoughts, but you don't mind.
Overthinking always takes the good out of everything.
"Are you sure no trains come through here?"
You shake your head yes.
Here at the end of the tracks, you've found your beginning. Together.
