Drabble: "Late,"
Title: Late
Author:
lavenderoracle
E-mail: lavenderoracle@livejournal.com
Pairing: IM/EW, but really Gen.
Disclaimer: They aren't mine, but Sir Ian has been quoted as saying that rps is fine and dandy with him, since it's just fantasy.
Summary: Elijah's going to be late if he doesn't get a move on.
Author's note: I've never posted to this community before, but I stumbled across this in my files tonight. Originally it was going to be part of a larger story, but I never found a place for the scene, or time to work on the story. Unbeta'd and really, unimportant.
It had been intimidating as hell the first few weeks, sharing a trailer with the legendary Sir Ian McKellan. He'd walked on eggshells, keeping mostly to himself and trying to be very, very quiet and move very, very slowly, so as to not disturb the other man. Then one morning, Sir Ian had gotten out of bed and glided over to where Elijah had been standing and getting dressed. Elijah was amazed how Sir Ian held himself regally even while peering down at him.
He had felt completely exposed, holding his t-shirt against his bare chest like Frodo's mithril shirt, as the 60 year old thespian reached down and ran his hand down Elijah's hip, moving to the small of his back and down further, squeezing his ass and smiling imperiously as he spoke, his voice still raspy from sleep. "Elijah, my dear boy, you're going to be late. I advise you to speed up the dressing process and hurry that delectable young body out of this trailer before I lock the door," he paused for dramatic effect before leering at the wide eyed boy, "and you shall be even later." He then moved his hand from Elijah's ass to pat his cheek gently and chuckled to himself as he turned and walked away.
Elijah's cheeks were crimson, but the old man's flirtation had made him feel a lot more comfortable around him, in a weird sort of way. Which, he supposed, was the reason Sir Ian had done it in the first place. Elijah had felt like he'd just been initiated into some cult, The Victims of Sir Ian McKellan's Libidinous Nature or something, but he'd never tiptoed around the older man again. In fact, he had a tendency to leave the trailer so messy and be so loud that he provoked more glares of parental exasperation from Sir Ian than from his own mother.

Secondly, is that quote true, about Sir Ian saying that he doesn't mind RPS? Where did you find it?? Because I've never actually seen any evidence that the boys are *against* it, but none that are for it either--all their quotes are vague.

Or here, let me paste for you the entire blog entry.
SLASH
From: Saathi QueenB@trust-me.com
Q: My fellow yahoogroup members and I all respect you, the cast, crew, and movie itself. Most of us indulge in a hobby called 'fanfic.' A great deal of us write (or read) 'slash,' and a few members write 'RPS' (Real Person Slash.) What are your thoughts on such things? Do you consider them slanderous to your good character and/or to the good character of any actor/movie/etc?
A: I am not well acquainted with slash but find nothing harmful in sharing fantasies about favourite characters or their interpreters. Within the context of such sites even Real Person stories seem unobjectionable as they are clearly fictional.

I feel it's more gen . . . and in the context of a longer fic, it's obvious that IM/EW is not the pairing. But I do adore Sir Ian, and think he's underused for being such a fabulous man.
