RPS RPG Recruiting post

A director with the Sight assembles a cast made up of half mythical creatures, all hiding their magical natures from each other, and sometimes from their very selves.

The result? [livejournal.com profile] lotr_fantasy An RPG game set during the filming of the Lord of the Rings movies. Characters are the actors and crew involved.

Characters taken:
Billy Boyd: [livejournal.com profile] william_boyd
Dominic Monaghan: [livejournal.com profile] immortaldominic
Elijah Wood: [livejournal.com profile] doodle_kitten
Orlando Bloom: [livejournal.com profile] almost_oberon
Miranda Otto: [livejournal.com profile] fille_dela_mer
Karl Urban:

Everyone else is free, give an e-mail to thuri(at)thuriweaver.com with the character you'd like, what type of fantasy creature you'd like them to be (almost anything goes, as long as it can be hidden with shape-shifting or a glamour), and a several paragraph background as a writing sample. We're committed to a well written game, and want to make sure everyone involved has good people to write with.

There have been several pairings, already, but no one so far has committed to anyone else, so you can expect to play with whoever you'd like. And no one knows of another's magical nature ahead of time, unless you ask and are approved by the mods.

Filming timeline: This website has an incredibly useful timeline, letting us know when certain scenes were shot, when filming breaks occured, and all sorts of fun things like that. While there will, of course, be leeway--this is an AU, after all--we'll use this as a guide for play. For example, the first posted part takes place the evening of October 21, 1999, the day of the infamous "splinter" incident.

crossposted everywhere. we need people!

How interesting that you should still be recruiting for players when I know you have turned down perfectly decent people who wanted to join because they weren't your style.
