Discussion: writing sex & goodsex recs
With Annathaema's incredibly kind approval, I'm pimping a meta discussion about sex in fanfic.

The goal is to get people to contribute to the creation of a rec list of fics where the sex is masterfully done & can serve as an example for other authors to learn from.
The idea behind it is that having actual examples of good, complicated sex might help authors learn better than just getting advice on how to write sex.
To get particular, I'm interested in fics where the sex is particularly well written and memorable, not necessarily because it's exceptionally hot, but because the author uses it to serve some other purpose: to deepen characterization, to manifest some conflict or dynamic between the characters, to add some dimension to the story.
Something where the sex scene could ONLY belong to that fic - and it couldn't easily be placed in any other fic by changing the characters' names.
It can be any fandom, RPS or FPS, Slash or Het, but of course I'm
partial to LotR fandom.
