Dom scowled at the two faces beaming at him from the breakfast table.
"Morning Dom." Elijah called.
Dom grunted and went to the coffee maker, pouring himself a mug of coffee.
"Not until after his first cup, remember?" Billy whispered softly, his eyes on Dom as he ate his porridge.
Dom looked back at Billy and scowled again. Finishing his cup, he poured himself another one.
"What have you both done?" he asked.
Dom was again faced with identical looks of innocence.
"Don't give me that. I know you did something and I won't stop until I find out what." Dom promised.
"Really Dom, we just went for a drive. Can't we do that?"
"No Billy, you can't, not when you don't tell your best friend," Dom snapped. "And especially not when you disappear for a whole week."
"Were we gone that long?" Elijah widened his eyes further.
Dom made a sound like a hissing kettle. "I hate you, I hate you both."
"You don't mean that Dom." Billy looked injured.
"That won't wash either." Dom yelled.
"Billy, Dom keeps shouting at us."
"I know, why is that I wonder?"
"I have no clue. Did we piss him off?" Elijah frowned, bewildered.
"I think so, but I still don't know why."
"I'm in the room you know, ask me." Dom snarled.
"Billy, he's turning red." Elijah hissed, looking at Dom with wide eyes.
"He looks like he is about to explode. I can all but see the smoke." Billy said softly, speaking from the side of his mouth.
Dom's fists clenched, they were driving him crazy.
"Maybe we should leave him alone." Elijah slowly stood up and backed away from the table.
"I think so too, his eyes are turning slate. Let's run." Billy followed Elijah's example and they headed for the door.
"I hate you both, I really, really hate you." Dom was near tears of frustration as he watched Billy and Elijah practically run from the kitchen.
