Chapter 9

 

Sean’s face flushed red and hot as he tried to explain everything at once.  Why Billy was in Sean’s arms… and in his bed.  Sean tried to sound innocent, but he still felt wicked.  Billy would see through him and know what a sick fuck he truly was.  

 

However, Billy looked confused, not angry; he rubbed his eyes and painfully attempted to sit up on his own.

 

“Ah did what?” 

 

“You were having nightmares, Billy.  Viggo and I… we thought that we could watch over you better in here.  Make sure that you don’t hurt yourself further.  You were just having another one… and I was… I was just trying to settle you down a bit, that’s all.”

 

“Thank ye, Sean.”  Billy said, not making eye contact with Sean.  Billy felt as embarrassed as Sean, maybe more. 

 

Viggo, perfect timing as usual, entered carrying a tray of coffee and egg bagel sandwiches.

 

“Well I see our roommate is awake!  Anyone hungry?”  Viggo said cheerfully.  Seeing the two sets of disturbed faces, he decided to keep the conversation to food, saying to Billy, “I brought coffee, unless you would prefer some tea?”

 

“Oh, no thank you, Viggoh.  Coffee is fine, thank you.” 

 

Viggo sat on the edge of the bed and handed the two other men their coffee.  The silence was more than a little uncomfortable. 

 

Sean excused himself to go to the bathroom.  Viggo watched Billy as he watched Sean.  He noticed Billy’s eyes move across Sean’s shoulders, down to his back before settling on his ass as it disappeared out the door.  Viggo smiled a crooked little smile as Billy shot a quick nervous glance at Viggo.  Viggo just looked back and winked.

Feeling stronger, Billy cautiously decided to venture outdoors.  Wrapped up in Viggo’s large robe, he made it to the front deck and sat on one of the several Adirondack chairs that were sprinkled the porch.  He brought the robe up to his face and inhaled.  It smelled of Viggo, strawberry shampoo and spicy cologne. 

 

He decided to give Sean and Viggo some time alone.  He was beginning to feel like an intruder, a third wheel.  This was supposed to be there holiday together.  Instead they were spending it nursing his sorry arse back to health.  Hell, now they could not even sleep together. 

 

These were two of the kindest men he had known, as far as he could remember he thought with a sardonic grin.  They were literally giving Billy the shirts off their backs.  He promised himself that he would try to think of a way to repay their kindness and generosity. 

 

Viggo quietly opened the screen door, being careful not to let it slam shut and startle Billy.  He saw Billy looking miserable again.  It pained him to see Billy look so forlorn.  He walked up to him “Do you mind some company?  Or are you sick of us already?”

 

 

“No, of course no’, ye both have been so kind and good to meh.  And ah have just ruined your holiday.  Ah feel like shite.”

 

“Billy!  Man, don’t be ridiculous!  Sean and I love having you here.  We’ve become quite fond of you, actually.  Don’t tell Sean I said this, but I think old Seanie has developed a mild crush on you.”  Viggo said with a wide grin watching Billy’s face carefully.  

 

Billy felt his face flush with heat, he was not totally sure if Viggo was kidding or not.
